How (and should) they have split the Olsens?
I'll probably have another 9th season story with Michelle and Kelli, her soccer playing friend, when I have time. (2 new episodes linked below)
As early as before season 6, though, I've read they wanted to split the Olsen twins. I think they were looking ahead to this in "Greek Week" by having Jesse as Melina's Godfather - how else would he fill that role with Melina so far away, unless he was also legal guardian if something happened to his cousin? (My pet theory is that season 6's was changed a bit, and the character Denise was originally to be played by the Olsen that didn't play Michelle, but I don't have any basis for that, unlike the Godfather point.) How would you have done it? Would you have even had the other Olsen twin play anything? The second part of the poll is, what do you do about John Stamos' insistence? Or, do you think he'd have been happy as long as they were together? Since he was supposedly close to leaving before season 7, this also covers what you do if that's the case? Hmmm, that doesn't work, either. Well, there's always making it a text document and using endnotes, and just copying those intothe text. I might do that when I have time.
