Default CABLE TV

do you know anyone who STILL doesn't have it? Belevie it or not, my brother and his wife STILL don't!!! (He admits that they're probably "the only ones in the universe" without it)

And I just found out my therapist also doesn't have it. She says "I refuse to pay for TV". (I don't know if she was only kidding, though)

I don't know anyone that doesn't have cable, but I do know a few people that don't have tv period. They're usually Church people.

I know of quite of few people who don't have cable and they are happy about it. I'm thinking of stopping my digital cable. Too much crap on.

I am one of them. I can proudly say I dont have cable and havent had for over five years, and have no intentions of ever having cable again. First off I cant afford it, and second they dont show enough shows and programs that I want to watch. Frankly I would rather read or listen to music than sit in front of the televison set. I think at most I spend about two hours a day in front of the tube.

There is a couple that lives near my parents that doesn't have cable. They are into art and music. They spend a lot of their time working projects. I had a friend in high school whose family didn't have cable. They watched movies mostly. I know a lot of people who are switching from cable to satellite.

Just because one doesn't have cable doesn't mean one is in the stone age.

I went from 2007-2009 without cable, and am thinking of getting rid of it again. Too much money for too much crap and not enough worthwile programming.

I have a very nice roof antenna that allows me to receive HD stations in the area.

My sister and one of my co-workers do not have cable. My sister tells me she can't afford it, and my co-worker says that if she had it, she'd never leave the house.

We have not had cable in 5 years. I dont miss it either. I watch TV if I am at a relatives or friends house. Im glad we dont have cable at our house because it is too expensive and all they do is show repeats over and over. The other half is bed-hopping, murder, and drugs.

I don't have it. Don't miss it and don't want it. I don't watch that much TV - just the news. So I just got a transformer box for my analog - I get the basic channels w good reception - which is enough for me. I watch 99.99% of my shows from DVDs. With crappy offerings like TVland and Nick At Night - I'd rather put my $35-40 a month toward DVDs. Just got 4 seasons of Reba for $10 each and having a ball.
