Lol Ever Had Food Poisoning?

It hit me this morning. Friday night at work I had some store bought potato salad and after I got home I began having bad gas. I took Gas Ex went to bed, got up around 2 and went to the movies. We smuggled in Weinerschnitzl I also bought popcorn had a pleasant evening. This morning I woke up fighting to keep everything down I took more gas-ex had water and went back to bed. Feeling better now, still don't want to eat anything accept for a missle pop icecream.

I've had food poisoning twice. It's terrible, just awful. Once, after eating at a restaurant, and the second time, from Wendy's. I've had stomach aches, cramps, nausea, you name it, in the past; however, food poisoning is in a league of its own. Not to be gross, but it's sickness at both ends. I felt like I was going to die. Looking back, I should have gone to the hospital, but I didn't. I'm positive it was food poisoning though, from reading about it. For those who have never had it, count your lucky stars and pray it never happens to you. I was so sick that my stomach was sore for days, as was other areas of my body. It was 23 and 11 years ago, and I'll remember both incidents until I die. I've never eaten at Wendy's since.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I've had it once and only once...thank God. I know what you mean about it being in a league of its own. It's not like a flu bug or anything like that. It is excrutiating debilitating pain that will not let up and you are right...sickness at both ends. I remember actually passing out. And for over a week after I was "better" I was still in pain and couldn't eat anything. Mine was from bad Thanksgiving turkey when I was 15 (the one and only time my aunt ever made a holiday dinner.) The whole family was terribly ill and my uncle and grandma ended up in the hospital. I am in charge of family holiday meals now and honestly, preparing the turkey makes me queasy to this day!

I think I had that eight years ago.

I was at my aunt's Christmas Party and I ate a lot (as usual) but this time, I felt a little nauseated. So I took some antacids...didn't help...then I took some more...didn't help either...so I had no choice but to....

I think it was the sausage that I ate from my grandfather's ex Bitchy-poo! (That's the name he gave her).

I've had it several times. The most recent being about 2-3 years ago over the summer. Had a meatball sub from Subway that didn't sit right - turned out the marinara sauce was bad. I was very sick for 2 days afterwards.

I haven't eaten at any Subway since, and probably never will again.

I remember once, about 30 years ago, my family was on vacation at the shore. On our last day my parents bought some steamed clams for us, and my brother and I got sick from them.

I recently had food poisoning. It's horrible because you're constantly running to the bathroom. Ugh. I feel your pain. Hope you start feeling better, asap!

On, God, yes...once, back in the early 1990's. Had steak fajitas at this local restaurant; then within an hour or so, I had the worse stomach cramps, it felt like I have swallowed glass. I was in some much pain, that I could not even stand up...

Thank goodness I've dodged that bullet. As teens, my friends wanted to go to McDonalds one night and when I did, I'd always get a chocolate shake at least. This one night my girlfriends went and split a shake together. Both ended up hugging the porcelain for days, and just like you - said it was coming both ends and the worse thing they'd ever had. Made the stomach flu look like a walk in the park. Turns out they put too much bacteria into the batch (that's what they use to thicken the shakes). It was over the allowed limit and got anyone who had a shake from that batch really sick.
