Wow, I just spent close to an hour reading through Kati's mother's website. It is definitely worth checking out but at times, the deceit is so complicated, I had difficulty even following it.
A few things I still don't understand; there theoretically were two police there before paramedics arrived yet the paramedics claim that nobody was there and that they almost had difficulty finding the car? And the guy who was the "bystander" who was never questioned was later arrested and convicted for shooting somebody else from his car? Nothing about this case adds up and it seems very muddled. Maybe I'll read her mom's book about the case. It also makes me wonder the following: if Kait really knew so much about ALL these illegal activities (heroin smuggling at her workplace and insurance fraud among others...) , why on Earth didn't she keep some kind of a journal or go straight to her parents and say, "this is what's going on and I'm afraid." Whole mess stinks and it really, really seems like the APD is involved in this somehow. What a mess. |

This is the website for Kait. I hadn't read it in a while and had forgotten a lot of what happened when she was murdered. |

Just saw this segment on the DVR.
Juvenal Escebedo was the name of a man that the police thought (and possibly still think) was involved in the shooting of Kaitlyn Arquette. Given that fact, they would have likely charged him w/ the crime had a little more evidence been available. I don't buy the insurance ring "hit" theory because it doesn't make much sense. Ms. Arquette only seemed to be peripherally involved in the scam and unless she was telling people that she would go to the police (and thus risk prosecution herself) there would be little reason to "get rid of her."In fact, her boyfriend should have been the one that the ring got rid of as he had made the potential mistake of involving her and he would have firsthand information concerning the insurance fraud ring. Killing Ms. Arquette would have brought unwanted attention to the ring, which very likely would be the last thing that they would want. |
