They probably haven't spoken to each other since 1980. That's when all the problems started. I wish they could make up too. I've come to the conclusion that they never will though. If John's death couldn't bring them together then nothing will.

If you read the threads with the most recent interviews of both women, you'll see that both claim to have tried to make contact with one another. One of them is lying and (big surprise lol) I think it's Suzanne. She seems more bitter, if you ask me, especially considering the petty comments she sometimes makes. I wouldn't doubt she wants the fued to appear as if it's still going on just to make herself look like an innocent victim, just as she has always done. If I were Joyce, I would've just said screw it a long time ago and forget about Suzanne. Unforunately, the issue just keeps on coming up and neither one is able to just move on and forget about the other. I don't see what's wrong with that, but I can understand it bumming out fans. It doesn't bum me out, though. If they don't want to talk, then they don't have to talk. They're very different people who really do not have to be involved with one another's lives. Someone pointed this out once in another thread...think of it this way, imagine had they not been on a show, but were just regular co-workers at an office who had a fight and didn't talk to each other after that. Is it expected of them to go back to each other and make amends? If two very different people don't want to talk to one another, I see no problem with that.

Unfortunately, you can't force people to end their feuds, the participating parties are the ones that have to make the first move. I've got two cousins who've been feuding for years, they can't even stand being in the same room with each other.

I think both of these ladies have big problems with each other.

I think it's pathetic that these two ladies caused so much problems with the producers and the star of the show, John Ritter, gave no problems whatsoever. Suzzane had her contract dispute that everyone knows about but if you read the Three's Company book you will see that Janet was a headache for the producers. From bitching about her character, to complaining about how the producers, to wearing pantyhose, she was a hand full.

These two ladies should have been thanking their lucky stars that they were on this show.

You forget to point out that the producers were very sexist and gave the women a lot of trouble themselves. Of course they had no problem with John; he was a man.

Frankly, it appears that Joyce DeWitt is actually the bitter party in this dispute. While I'm not a great Suzanne Somers fan, she has spoken charitably about Ms. DeWitt on several talk shows that I have seen. The same can't be said for Ms. DeWitt.

Given the fact that a nostalgia tour featuring those two actors would probably garner them a substantial amount of money, burying the hatchet would seem to be a profitable enterprise for them both.

I believe there are two sides to every story. Maybe they both tried and just had missed chances. Don't know of course, but I wish they could put closure on this not to become friends or anything, but just put an end to the feud. Because life is too short.

Joyce Dewitt seems to have the problem. She has a problem with Somers, the producers, the direction of her character, not doing bare-legged scenes.

i agree i get tired of hearing joyce whine about the whole thing it was 30 freaking years ago in fairness i think susanne was no angel but joyce seems to thrive on rehashing the problems on tc over and over again so does priscilla barnes i men i had people in my life who were nasty to me too but i dont rehash it over and over again

I'm interested to see what you guys are reading in which Joyce continues to bring this up. Is it anything recent other than a book or a true hollywood story where these questions were POSED to her, not brought up herself? If the issue has been brought up, it was by an interviewer, not her.

Also, do you have anything where she's directly said she has a problem with Suzanne Somers? I'd be interested in seeing this as well. The abundant views against her in this thread are just really surprising to me because I've read and seen nothing but articles or interviews that show things the other way around, in which Suzanne is the one with bad things to say. To me, SHE'S the one that seems to keep bringing it up. I don't have anything off hand to show this, but I'd be glad to look because I know it's out there.
