Let's just say that your son or daughter had just passed on and they were about 8 or 9 you can hardly stand the pain that you are going through, you had the hardest pain, the husband has pain also in his gut and just can't cope with life anymore he doe not want to work no more he just lays in the bed you the wife has heart pain and greving for her lost but, she hides her pain well hse carried the precious baby for nine months and then at age 8 he gets killed, Your husband goes back to work but he still hurts, someone a Dr comes up to him while eating lunch(he's a dentist the husband) eats in the hospital cafeterial this young dr says that he can bring back his son with a new kind of experiment, it's clone but,he got new things for cloneing,, you tell your wife and the wife agrees would you have your son a cloune when she gives birth to a baby? He will have the same hair, eyes, built, and when hes older the memory of your first son.

Absolutely not! Being genetically the same would not make a clone the exact same child that was lost. So many other factors come into play. And I would never expect my child to have to live in the shadow of a deceased brother or sister just because they looked exactly alike. The thought of this frightens me really. Losing a child is the most horrible pain I can imagine, but if someone truly wants to love and nurture another child afterwards then having another baby is a good option. Cloning a dead child is sick.

And yes, I know this is a hypothetical question...it just disturbs me for some reason.

Yeah that's Godsend (2004). The film was not a box office hit but it deals exactly with what this thread is about; cloning your dead child.

They decide to clone their 8 year old son who died in a car accident and everything is fine until he reaches 8 year's old. At that point things turn south and he gets unpredictable.

I think cloning a human in general is just unethical and morally wrong. Plus, it wouldn't bring that person's soul back.
