Question What do you all take for nausea?

I get nausea all the time because I'm on 7 different meds, and all of them have nausea as a side effect. I'm looking to get off about half of my meds, but in the meantime it's something I just have to deal with. I thought I would ask you all though what you do to fight nausea so I'd get some ideas on how to bring some relief to this problem. Thanks in advance!!

I always drink cold 7 UP. Sprite works as well. My mom would give it to me all the time when I was nauseous in the past, and I still drink it these days. It works for me. I hope you can find something that works for you Brad. Nausea is really annoying and terrible-it gets in the way of so many things.

I'm sorry that your medications make you have an upset stomach. I know Sprite and crackers can help sometimes.

I have tired ginger and it helps. (And don't mean the Ginger from "Gilligan's Island.")

I put in about 20 drops in a small amount of water.

Cola syrup is also good to use.
Along with 7-Up when left out for a while so it goes flat.

Pepto Bismol, even if it's an off-brand. I like the cherry-flavored better.

Yah, my mom always used to give us Ginger Ale, but a friend at work told me about the cola syrup (if you can't get the syrup, then leave some cola out to go flat and it works almost as well).

In your case, because it's being caused by meds, plain soda crackers may help as well - or milk when you take your medications. Gravol by supository might also be an option, but that stuff makes me so sleepy I only take it if I absolutely have to.

Fortunately I'm feeling pretty good today, and have had no nausea. It usually gets worse in the evening though, and so if it does, I'll try a glass of tea and see how it works. Thanks my friend!!
