Default Helen's Rejection

I would say that there are essectially two reasons why "Helen's Rejection" is an ideal title for this thread. To start with, it honors the show that I am about to write about which had an episode called "Julie's Rejection". You see, one little known fact about Helen Hunt is that before Kari MIchaelson was picked for the part of Katie Kinisky from "Gimme a Break!" Helen Hunt was one of the actresses being considered. Another little tidpit is that, on the first season of that sereis, she did, in fact make one guest appearance. How do you guys think that she would have done in that part. Because of all of her years as Jamie Buchman, I have a hard time picturing her playing the part of some that different! I think of Helen Hunt as the model of decency. In her part on this show as well as movies that she has been in during and after, she is someone with a lot of substance and character. It is hard to think of her as someone as shallow and superficial as Katie! At least in my opinion. In any event, I just submitted a message on the "Gimme a Break!" page of this site and titled it "Idea From the Brady's". When and if you read the thread, you will know exactly what that title has to do with the topic at hand!

Default A Reprint

My last post on this page had to do with the fact that this show's Helen Hunt had been considered for the part of Katie from "Gimme a Break!" Before coming here, I made a similar post on the "Gimme a Break!" page of this site. So far, it has several views but zero responses. I have since brought up another thread that pertains to the same topic. The main theme of all of these threads is how different most of the parts that Helen had ever played were from that of Katie Kinisky. I would say that a good case and point for this is a third-season episode called "Samantha's Protest". For those of you who are interested, it is up on "Youtube". Because I was unsuccessful in stimulating any conversation on that page, I will share with you guys some funny thoughts that I had regarding this topic. To start with, I would have a very hard time pictureing Helen Hunt playing the part of someone who would put painting her nails above sticking with her family and taking a stand for decency. On top of this, I certainly cannot picture Helen playing the part of someone who would get scolded for putting her hands, her bosoms and her crotch where they do not belong!

I remember that episode with Helen Hunt and that is interesting. Imaging her as Katie is interesting.

Bringing this thread to the top of the page is some more attempt to stimulate some conversation about this fine sereis! Also, just like this page, the "Gimme a Break!" page also see very little action these days. I figure that, by responding this this thread, I might also stimulate some conversation about that fine show.

Over on the "Gimme a Break!" page of this site, I recently brought an old thread that I had started to the top of the page. This was because I was unseccessful in stimulating any conversation with any of my new threads. Well, it is very much the same situation on this page! Because of this, I am now bringing this oldie but goodie to the top. I told my buddies on that page that I would be back in about an hour to see if anything is new. Well, after I finish up there, I will be coming back over here! Bye!

As you can see, I have not been successful in stimulating any conversation on this page with any of my recent threads. Because of this, I have decided to see what happens if I bring this oldie but goody to the top of the page.

In between the time that I brought the last thread to the top of this page and now, I have done what I could to stimulate some conversation on some other pages. Nothing so far! This is why I am now raising this one to the top. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who remembers the one and only episode of "Gimme a Break!" that Helen Hunt appeared in. By the way, "Gimme a Break!" is one of the other pages that I posted messages on this evening. In addition to Helen's episode, I would also like to hear peoples' memories of "Samantha's Protest". Dose anyone think that Helen could have pulled off the X-rated behavior that Katie took part in in that episode? And last but not least, I would be very interested in reading messages from anyone who knows about the upcoming "Parenthood" series!

The only thing I have to say about Helen Hunt other than she is a fine actress is she is Smokin.

When you say that Helen Hunt is "Smokin" is what you are saying is that she is very attractive and sexy? If that is what you are saying, I agree with you whole-heartedly!

I am very happy to see that, after all of this time, one of my posts finely generated a response! Over all the board has been pretty slow. I am wondering if this is because the overlap between baseball and football season is taking up most peoples' time and energy. In any event, I am crazy about Helen Hunt and wish that she was doing more these days for us to appreciate! I also wish that either she would write an autobiography or someone would write a biography on her! And last but not least, I would just like everyone to know how sad I am that she did not get the part in "Parenthood"!
