MAN VS SAMMICH.
Forum Star
|
Since there's a thread about Micheal & Farrah's death. I thought it would only be fair to create one about the greatest man who ever lived: Billy Mays.
So here is your place to pay your last respects to Billy. Let us pay homage to his always pressed khaki pants and his button up shirt. Let us remember the good in Billy, such as his concern for our laundry and his silly beard thing. RIP Billy, you will be missed. There's simply not enough OxyClean to clean up the mark you've left on our hearts. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7kBDt-iPW0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtYdDK1uTDI Post anything Billy related in this thread. |

Billy Mays had a thread, with over 100 replies, but two threads won't hurt.

I've never been one to be really upset about celebrities dying, but I was really jolted when I found out Billy died. I don't know what it was about him but he seemed like such a nice, everyday person. If I could have one of the recently passed celebrities back, it would be Billy.

I recently saw his commercial for a cellphone car holde or something like that - it must have been one of his last creations, because I've never seen that one before. I was almost inclined to pick up the phone and buy one.

i have not even said rest in peace because i find it so hard to accept that he is gone. there's just no way that he isn't going to come back and scream at us about cleaning product offers from beyond the grave. i'm sure he's loud enough to be heard from the other side anyway.
such a shame. it seems that he died just when he was starting to become an icon. did anyone see this commercial he did for ESPN? fast forward to about 0:30 on this orange glo outtake to get a glimpse of how he talked off camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yla0z3JLQY it was things like this that made me want to meet him in person. WE HAVEN'T SEEN THE LAST OF HIM. |

Yeah this guy was a really good guy. Below all the hairs in his beard, is a person with a very good heart and head on his shoulders....before he had to go..
RIP |

BTW, I don't know anything about him except for his commercials and that he was married. Anyone know anything about his history, like did he do any acting or anything? I read on SOL that he was on The Tonight Show. I want to find that episode on Youtube if it's there. I bet there are a ton of Billy Mays commercials posted. I admit that I always found him a little unnerving, only because of his enthusiastic personality, but he was really good at selling products. I've never bought any on TV, but we bought some Oxyclean from Bed Bath and Beyond, after my husband saw it on one of the early commercials. |
