Wink The "Remember This???" Thread

Their is a lot of music, movies, things in life and in general that people enjoy, but sometimes forget about...or on the other hand, it could be just something really good that never got the attention it could of...it could be music, movies etc. ANYTHING. My point is, to make this thread, I want everybody to bring things back from being a teenager, kid- early adult that they enjoyed. By doing this, you can post links to websites with cool items, or good stories, or media- Youtube, Veoh, etc. links to movie, music, fads, fashion, books etc. Like I said, anything would work, it's remembering things that we all know, but sometimes forget or move around, but ultimately love. I'll start. You don't even have to post links in here. You can copy and paste stories, lyrics to songs, or just share stories of what you want us to remember. I co-call it, "The Blast From the Past!". So I'll start.

I used to love this song in the mid 1990s, it gets you going!

Those Beanie Baby Dolls...damn, it sounds corny but we used to collect them in elementary school, as a kid

Does anybody remember Teddy Ruxpin? I use to play with this thing all day until I saw the movie Child's Play, and I don't think I ever went near him after that.

You Can't Do That On Television. Even better if you remember watching it in its original run (it was on from 1979 - 1990, and Nickelodeon's splat logo was inspired by YCDTOTV.).

Also, Ed Grimley. I remember Martin Short as Ed, and the cartoon spinoff. That was a million years ago.

Anyone own a pet rock when they were a kid? For Christmas one year, my grandma bought me and my sister pet rocks. They were so cool (well, I thought they were then) - they came with rock houses, rock leashes, and all the rock accessories. Me and my sister used to take them on walks every day, no kidding. Why can't we have quality toys like that nowadays?

Anyone remember Garbage Pail Kids cards? They were quite the collectors item when I was a kid. My parents wouldn't let me have any because they were "inappropriate."

Anyone remember a cartoon character named Snagglepuss? He was a creation of Hanna/Barbera studios. Snagglepuss was a mountain lion voiced by Daws Butler. His catchphrase was "heavens to murgatroyd". He is also famous for saying "exit, stage left even" which is what he is doing in the above picture.

Yes, I remember that cartoon character. He was part of the Hanna-Barbara Cartoon Olympics.

LOL, Bobby Moynihan did an impression of him on SNL this past season! I have heard of Snagglepuss, but I think I'm too young to remember watching the cartoons.

Awww, I'm sorry!! Don't feel too bad though, he was overrated. All he did was say the same things over and over and over again. Personally I thought he started to become a nag!!

I bought about a million beanie babies. Still have them somewhere. They were going to worth sooo much money. Oops, fail.

And I also had Teddy Ruxpin when I was really little. Kind of started to creep me out lol.

Anyway, here's some 90's nickelodeon show openings to enjoy.

All That

Clarissa Explains it All

The Adventures of Pete and Pete Oh man, the mom and the idea of her having a metal plate in her head is still hilarious to me. Never realized how good of a song that theme was until now, either.

Salute Your Shorts Just ignore the random loser inserting himself into the theme.

Are Your Afraid of the Dark I. used. to. love. this. show. And tbqh, the opening was probably one of the scariest things about it lol.
