2 time that the show seemed more like one of todays sitcoms

this isint meant to bash the show but i was thinking of 2 eps that stand out because the taylors did things that were odd for them to do but not so odd for one of todays sitcoms 1 in gomer the house guest after gomer keeps everyone awake all nig andy yells at aunt bea about his coffie being too hot opie screeches about his milk being warm aunt bea snaps at andy and on and on it was a funny moment because they werent acting the lovable taylors they were acting more like the family on malcom in the middle 2 in the opie;s girlfriend ep from season 7 for a brief moment opie gets po;;d at andy when andy insists that he opie give up his saturday plans just so that he andy can play footsie with helen now even though opie does the right thing and entertains helen;s neice it was interesting to see opie acting more like the kid from 2 and a half men than solid upright opie taylor can you think of any other times when the show turned ever so slightly like one of todays sitcoms?
