Default WHY didn't they try to put George Lopez on another network??

This was the last good comedy on TV and since the idiots at ABC axed it they should've tried to put it on another network, even a cable network, for one last season where they could've tied everything together and had a series finale.

You both have good points. I have always questioned ABC's reasoning behind canceling shows. Shows like "Me and the Boys", "Thea" and "Phenom" in the 90's got canned and their ratings were pretty good. Maybe not top 10 but finished around the early 20's. I just shake my head.

Yeah but I do think another network even on cable could've picked him up.

This new George Lopez talk show is lame. He should've just asked TBS to pick up the George Lopez sitcom.

I don't like how he copied Leno with the 2 sofas in the EXACT same position!

Leno is 100000000000 times better than him anyway but Lopez would be better than Leno in a sitcom.

Default Probably because...

...the other networks had their own schedules to consider, especially those that prominently feature series they own and/or co-produce themselves. NBC and CBS had no room for George, Fox wasn't interested, and the CW (a logical choice because it's co-owned by Time-Warner, the owners of Lopez's show) just didn't have "space", either. But the repeats are doing quite well on Nickelodeon's 'Nick At Nite' schedule, and that's why TBS [another Time-Warner subsidiary] wanted George to front his own late-night talk show for them. Whether it works out in the long run, we shall see....

The talk show sucks dude especially considering there's already a glut of talk shows out there with established fan bases.

The George Lopez sitcom was much more multi-dimensional that this talk show so it had a wider appeal. I know the George Lopez sitcom would've only lasted one more season but they should've given it that last season or even a last half season or what about just a FINAL episode??

That's interesting that the CW is co-owned by the owners of Lopez's show so they really should've worked something out to keep it on the CW for one last season or even less that that.

It was on a Friday night for one season only. It was mainly on Wednesdays or Tuesdays. The show did well in every slot basically it had.

I noticed on the digital guide there was no "George Lopez Show" on TBS last night which was Friday.

Is the George Lopez talk show only Mon-Thurs??
