Default Does Anyone Here Like Sake?

The Japanese rice wine.

I like sake but for me I like it to be cold and not warm as it's traditionally served. One time at a Japanese restaurant I had ordered it for the first time and the warm sake tasted like piss. I'm also not really into warm alcohol ex. hot buttered rum.

The Japanese chef at the table smirked at my reaction and he motioned the kitchen staff to bring it out straight from the bottle cold. I must say that I enjoyed it cold A LOT better.

What about you?

I would have to vote "I've never tried it before".

One of these days.

I love to drink wine but imported wine is more expensive than domestic. Anyhow I have had sake a few times. I prefer it warm but I can drink it cold as well.

I love it! That, and tempura are about the only things I do like in a Japanese restaurant. Gives you a nice, warm glow!

I like it cold, even room temp, but not warmed up (the so-called recommended way)

I've never tried it. My taste buds are sensitive when it comes to alcohol. I've never found wine, beer, or even champagne to be tasty. But my friends love sake bombs. I wouldn't mind trying it one time though.

Good for you.

Few years ago my father made homemade ale once and it wasn't great. He loved it and he was the only one who drank it.

Sake is definitely an acquired taste. You should try it sometime.

Yeah, imported wine is more $ than domestic. I'm not really a big wine drinker but it goes great during/after some dinners.

I'd have to say Japanese cuisine is probably my favorite of the Asian cuisines that I have tried. So far I have had Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Malaysian, and Taiwanese.

I usually have wine during/after some dinners; not really a big drinker of it.

I prefer dark beers ex. Guinness.

I'm not at all into champagne. I find that it has little to no taste and it doesn't do anything for me. Only time that I ever drink it is for toasts and those don't come around much often.
