Default Reginald VelJohnson was a VERY GOOD ACTOR!!!!

Was watching the ep when Eddie was harassed by two white cops and it felt so real when Carl was in the face of one of the cops. It no longer felt like I was watching a sitcom and that's because of the great acting skills of Reginald.

That's why he was always my favorite character watching this show growing up

Its a shame he and everyone else was overshadowed by Urkel.

That's true! I've seen him in a few other movies and he is a really good actor. I'd love to see the episode you mentioned. Do you know the name of it? Family Matters is always on ABC Family or Nick at Nite, so I'm sure I could catch it soon.

I loved him in Die Hard. He's always been very underrated as an actor.

I think it was a 1993-94 ep because Eddie was Still living at home

Wel, we do know it was season 4 or 5 because of the reasons below

1. There was no Rachel
2. There was no Judy
3. Opening Theme was still there
4.Eddie was not in College Yet

It's season 5, the episode is called "Good Cop, Bad Cop". The theme song dissaperaed after season 6.

Thanks, I knew it was the 93-94 season because Eddie was still at home

And I guess it made sense to get rid of the theme after season 6 because by that point, The Winslows Kids, and their friends were all in their 20's

He really was a great actor, very underappreciated. He always seemed to put his heart and emotions into the role. Urkel had nothing on him.

Reginald was very underrated as an actor. I love that episode you brought up, because Carl brought out so much emotion. He supplied the fire when needed. He was also funny (when he wanted to be) and was one of my favorite TV Dads. He was fun to be around, a wonderful dad, and a loyal husband. I liked him waaaaaay better than Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince.
