was Doris ever seen? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I've only seen a handful of episodes of this show, and i know that Jim's wife Doris was often mentioned, but was she EVER seen? i know that IMDB has an actress listed as having played her in about 8 episodes but i don't know that i've ever seen them. Did Doris ever appear on-screen in any manner?

Yes, she appears numerous times. Most often she was played by Janet Carroll. However, in the last season, they brought in a different actress to play the part. I always refer to the 2nd actress as "fake Doris." LOL.

Anyway, glad to see some discussion around here. And it's great that there are still new fans, too!

Thanks! Like i said i've never seen an episode with her on it, i know in the first season or so we never saw her. I assume she wasn't seen until like the last seasons?

No, she's there in season 2, at Corky's New Year's Eve party, and a bunch of other episodes. She usually didn't have a huge part, but she was always involved whenever they did something as a group.
