Question Do You Like Velvet?

Do you like velvet?

I love velvet. I have velvet clothes, velvet shoes and even picture frames that have velvet backs.

Velvet has a soft texture to it that I like. I've also seen women's shoes in velvet that were pretty attractive.

I love the way velvet feels. I don't wear velvet though. It seems to really attract lint and it stains too easily for me since I am with small children all day long. Velvet is very soft and pretty though.

I like velvet, too, but I always make sure to have a sticky lint roller with me when I wear it.

Velvet clothing used to be really popular when I was a kid, I remember having velvet shirts, pants, skirts and even an all velvet dress that I wore in my school's Christmas performance.

i love velvet or velour, its a luxurious fabric, feels so soft on the skin. but yes a lint roller is a necessity, thats the only bad thing. i have several velour track suits that i live in with all kinds of different embellishments on them. even wearng jeans, a velvet top dresses it up instantly. my favorite shirt, is a black velvet v-neck with lace sleeves. i adore that shirt.

Agreed! I love velvet... but yes about the lint roller.
I haven't worn velvet in forever though! I used to own some velour track suits like you, Kim... and oh my gosh, they were so comfortable! I need to go shopping for some velvet items I think.

I love velvet as well. In fact, last Christmas, I bought a long black velvet skirt to wear on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We were in San Diego and I just felt that velvet would be perfect to wear for those two holidays. I remember when velvet sweatsuits were all the range in school.

I see a couple of you mentioned velour. Would that be considered basically the same thing or close to velvet?

I love the feel of velvet also. I used to own so many clothing items that were made of velvet when I was younger. I love the velour track suits as well. I've got two pairs of pants, one black and one brown, that I love wearing around the house.

I also love red velvet cake...I know it's not really velvet, but it's got the word in it, so I figured it was worth mentioning.
