Default Question

I used to watch this show all the time on ABC family but stopped shortly after Lucy and Kevin got married. What year did the show officially end? I was on Netflix earlier and added the series to my list and it got me wondering what on earth happened after I stopped and how on earth did the writers drag it out for that long. Did the writing go downhill after awhile? I'm actually really excited about seeing the entire series and of course the old eps again.

The show ended in 2007. I personally wished it ended a few years earlier - I think it got bad near the end. Loved it so much in the beginning I would watch it no matter how bad it got though. Near the end they kept getting kids not related to the family like Martin, T-Bone and some girls. I missed having Matt, Mary and Simon around. With Lucy having Savannah and her miscarriage later on and Eric's health problems they always managed to have something to write about.

I definitely think the show was better in the early years, but in all honesty, I could never get into it no matter how hard I tried. It hasn't been that long since it ended, but I didn't know it had been two years already.

Yeah Lucy hadnt had Savannah when I stopped, they had alot of extra people then too though I'm suprised that they drug it out as long as they did.

^^ My guess is they were still making money and the fact they were on a smaller channel probably helped a lot.

Yes the show did start to get very bad near the end. Of course the acting was never that great to begin with.

The acting was never that good to begin with? I completely, 100% disagree with that. I thought the acting usually was very good! But yes, sometimes the storylines got kind of silly and having all these people moving in and out all the time was kind of ridiculous but it kept it kind of interesting.
