Default Sony is driving me crazy!

Comcast ondemand plays The Facts of Life on tuesdays. I record it every time it comes on with my dvd recorder. Now Sony is copyright protecting the shows so no person can record on dvd or vhs. Sony has made some big mistakes in what the costomers want. I can't stand them anymore.

I don't do business with Sony anymore. Not until they get more FOL, All in the Family and One Day At A Time out there on DVD.

Can we say BOYCOTT?

I don't mean a complete boycott of Sony, just only buy the classic Sony DVD shows and boycott the current show DVD releases. That's what I plan to do. And maybe this will help Sony see that we care about the classic sitcoms and dramas more than the stuff you can see on DVD a million times a day ("Seinfeld"). Hey, it just might work, who knows? But don;t take my word for it. I am down for ANYTHING to get the classic stuff released on DVD like The Facts of Life, All in the Family, and The Jeffersons and all those other shows.

As much as I hate to admit it, I just don't see Sony releasing any more FOL seasons. I wish things were different.

Well maybe Shout Factory or MPI will step in and make a deal to release the rest of the seasons.

Oh No

I'm really surprised no one has picketed Sony. No wonder people resort to buying bootlegs.

Generally speaking, even when sales are low, Sony's willing to give sets another chance. Only problem is that the chance doesn't come for several years. I have no doubt season 4 will eventually be released. The only problem is that it may not be until 2012.

Yeah, they did eventually put out the final two seasons of "The Partridge Family".

Sony sucks!! They are a greedy bunch of a**holes!! All they care about is pimping their crappy new shows and "SWINEfeld"!! Sorry, "Facts of Life" wipes its butt with "SWINEfeld" anyday!! How can a crappy show about nothing with a cast of ugly, winey, self-centered, anti-human misenthropes possibly get the royal treatment over a great show like "FOL" where you had great, compassionate female characters and great storylines?! Also, they have "Beverly Hills, 90210" out on DVD and it's on Soapnet every single day and I think this is another crappy show with really snotty characters and bad acting that takes presidence over "FOL"!! I'm sure it has alot to do with all the girls looking like slutty Barbie dolls wearing hardly any clothes going to school!! I hate Sony!!

Although Sony is my least favorite of all the companies, especially for the lack of extras on most of their productions and halting the releases of All in the Family/The Jeffersons/Maude/ODAAT and releasing that Norman Lear box set, it seems to me they're not guilty of editing episodes. Is FOL unedited?

I wish there was some way to organize a national boycott of Sony, like Sony EVERYTHING, Sony electronics, TVs, CD/DVD players, etc., things like that, and not just the new seasons of all the crap that's getting released like, LOL, "Swinefield" like somebody said earlier. The thing is, we'd have to get other people involved besides everybody here at SO who knows how to appreciate the classics. Any ideas?
