Angry They allow this crap on T.V.?

I HATE THE HUGHLEYS. I don't particularly care for D.L. Hughley as a comedian, he was okay in Kings of Comedy, but in a weekly sitcom it's evident just how limited his comedic abilities are, it's always a white joke or a joke meant to have some hidden sexual meaning and Elise Neal couldn't act like a quiet black woman if she had tape over her mouth...PLUS...the show is racist, throw in the token white neihbors to throw us off, but a white show couldn't get away with half the crap he shovels out...CANCEL IT! He is offensive and I would much rather see a clever, witty My Wife and Kids anyday.

I like Elyse, the show is funny sometimes. I jsut don't agree with some of the material on there. I also don't like the fact that the script requires for him to curse at his kids. I hate that with a passion. The wife is OK to me.

Thumbs down crap o matic

I agree the Hughley's is a really stupid show that is the main reason ABC cancelled it. Then a crappy network UPN picked it up no wonder UPN doesn't get good ratings there shows suck and most of there shows are canceled shows from other networks such as Buffy, Roswell, and of course the worst the Hughley's. And I also agree this show is racist and homophobic.

I watch the Hughley's sometimes, but not faithfully. I see it as a more recent version of All in the Family or The Jeffersons. If you liked those shows then you shouldn't have a problem with this one because the character of Darrell is ignorant like Archie and George were.

I thought the show was okay, but I must admit, it did have MANY negative things on it. I also agree that ABC's My Wife & Kids is good. It's actually a gem that ABC should not let go soon.

I remember watching this show back when it was on ABC. I agree with danithang that it is more of a modern "The Jeffersons". But if I had to choose between viewing an episode of Hughleys or an episode of "My Wife & Kids", I would watch MW&K.

My Wife and Kids is worse-The father is feminine, Thw wife is a Blimpo, the son is a geek, Only the two daughters on the show are okay-And that pie episode was the worst-so the hughleys andmywife and kids are in the same boat-HORRIBLE SHOWS"

This isn't one of the best shows (in my opinion - ducks from all TH #1 fans ), but I do enjoy its humor. It also has some turning points.... Darryl and others learned to accept different religions, races, and even nationalities throughout the show's three-year run. I give that a plus!

I didn't care for the show myself but I do think D.L is funnier on Comic View when he would make fun of the audience. That's kind of what I was expecting from that show and it didn't deliver.

Aww i remember them days when DL was on Comicview making fun of people in the audience. He was so funny when he did that. He was crackin on people in the audience in Original Kings Of Comedy movie. He said one dude in the audience had on a Charlie Brown sweater & he said wha wha wha hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Then he said this other black dude looked like a rapper named MC such & such LOL. DL is gonna be in the new movie Soul Plane with Monique of The Parkers tv show, rappers Method Man & Snoop Dogg, John Weatherspoon, Kevin Hart. The movie looks stupid to me. I ain't watching it when it comes out.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. It does look like one of those movies that'll be on video soon. Then it'll be on cable LOL. There was a scene in Soul Plane previews where DL Hughley is in the bathroom with Tom Arnold while Tom is taking a dump & DL sprays some air freshener for the smell LOL. DL is one of the stewardess's on the plane.

This show has a lot of things wrong with it, that's for sure, but there is something appealing about DL Hughley I can't quite put my finger on what it is though. He has a funniness about him, like someone you'd like to work a boring job with because his humor would make the time pass quicker but he doesn't seem to be cut out for doing a series or even sketch comedy.
