I Just Got Some Auto Repair Insurance - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Gimme your opinion about this. I joined this auto repair insurance company yesterday called Autorepair.com because i need it for my car. I can't afford to come outta the pocket everytime i need my car fixed because car repairs are expensive. I saw a commercial for this auto repair insurance company and i decided to give them a call to see what they provide. They pay for towing when your car breaks down on the road. They provide you with a rental car while your car is being fixed. They also pay for repairs that you need done to your car and all you pay is a monthly payment. I was telling the customer service guy about my financial situation and he talked to his manager and he was able to give me a payment of $72.63 a month for 24 months. I also had to make a down payment of $50 a month to get started. Do ya'll think this is a good or bad decision i made? My dad seems to think it's a bad decision because he feels that the insurance company isn't gonna pay for my repairs when i have car trouble. My dad said to me what if i don't have any car trouble for 2 years? He said that's just money you giving to them for free. Well i disagree with him because i believe that i will have trouble with my car within 2 years because my car is 17 years old. My car is making noise right now whenever i'm doing 60 miles or more and my car leaks a little bit of oil. Now i was baffled that this insurance company doesn't pay for oil leak repair.

I never heard of autorepair.com, or any of this you speak of. I have to agree with your dad. It does sound like you are being robbed. $72.63 a month for 2 years?! That's another bill you don't need! Does that include interest? What if something else goes wrong during that time? Leaking oil that they don't cover the cost?! You would be better off going to a dealer getting a car payment, or at least leasing one.

I wrote down the wrong website. It's called stoprepairbills.com. I'm gonna check it out now. I don't know why they won't pay for oil leaks.
