Default Your best and worst teachers

My best teacher was probably my 11th and 12th grade English teacher Ms. T.
I went to a small high school and she is probably one of the better teachers in the school.
She was a hard but fair teacher. She was a lawyer for a couple of years then she taught college and later started teaching high school. She said she enjoyed teaching. She was the type of teacher who helped all her students not matter what their abilities were. She really helped me learn to write at a college level.

My worst teachers were my 9th grade general science teacher and my 10th grade biology teacher.

My 9th grade science teacher Mr. V was basically a guy who went to college and probably became a teacher because he probably didn't fit into any other careers. He was the type of person who should have never gotten into teaching. He wasn't really smart in the subjects he taught. He was also my welding teacher and one time in that class he told me off for something I did by accident. He played favorites with kids and used to tease other kids in bad ways.

My 10th grade biology Mr. B was intelligent but very arrogant man who should never gotten into teaching either. He basically was only in the school to teach the kids that were good at science subjects. If you had difficulties with coursework and you ask him for help he was rude to you. He pissed me off a lot of times in that class. I would ask for help and he would grab my book and turn it to pages and say stuff, "Well if you would read this you would understand". I told him I did read I just had trouble understanding and he would ignore me and walk away. The kids that were great at science liked him. His wife was the school librarian and she was also arrogant like him. She would be rude to students once they walked into the library.

I tend to see Mr. B and Mr. V around my hometown when I visit mainly because B attends the same church as my family and V is friends with my uncle. I kind of give them dirty looks when I see them around town.

most of my middle school teachers were awful, and the older i get, the more i realize how wrong they were to do the things they did. no doubt some of them should have lost their jobs. unprofessional and unethical to no end. there were some things that happened that i've never even told anyone about because i felt so ashamed. if i were a parent and my child had those kinds of experiences at school, i would probably consider taking legal action. whenever i drive by that school, i cover the side of my face because i can't even bear looking at it.

my best teacher was definitely my choir teacher in high school. he put a lot of focus on me because of the musical potential he noticed in me, and my musicianship is amazing now because of his support and encouragement.

My worse teacher ever was my 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Holland. I don't mind telling you she was a bitch. She was a yeller, she carried a yardstick that she slammed on tables constantly! Her temper was short. She was a very hard teacher, I failed her class, only because her style was hard, and she taught at a higher grade level. She favored the "Smarter" students, and to make matters worse, at our annual amusement park trip in June, she left me there alone with other classes. I didn't partner up with anyone, it still shouldn't have mattered, she left me. Luckily, I spotted other classes in the school and other adults escorted me back to the school on the bus. I wish I had a voice back then, because no 8 year-old should have went through this.

My favorite teacher was in 5th grade, Mr. Scavone. He was the best. He was the type of teacher you didn't mind coming to school for. If you needed to use the restroom, he'd just tell you to get up and go. I don't mind telling you this, but I was a teacher's pet in his class. If the other kids in the class messed with me, he came to my defense. Whenever I approached him with a question or problem, he always put his arm around my shoulders, indicating I was his favorite. Mr. Scavone was the best. God bless his soul. He passed in 2004.

My Best Teachers:
__________________
Mrs. Jones- She was very helpful with homework and very cheerful.
Mrs. Houck- She was very young. She was easy going and did not throw a load of homework on us.
Mrs. Bale- Our spanish teacher. She was very helpful and very nice. Everyone got good grades in her class because she cared for her students.

My Worst Teachers:
________________________
Mrs. Clark- She was a pure witch! She wined and grumbled everyday she was in our class. Thank god she retired the next year.
Mrs. Lyke- Two words to sum up this old bag: HATEFUL B*TCH. NO ONE liked this woman. Not even her co-workers.
Mr. Steiner- He was our gym teacher. He seemed to favor the athletes more than others. He acted like he was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Best...

I had a few....

Multi-Handicapped (K-3): Ms. Dyson and Mrs. Abagail Peterson from Douglas MacArthur Elementary School-Cleveland.
4th & 5th: Ms. Brenda Heissenbuttel from St. Mark Lutheran School, which will now be Luther Memorial School this fall.
6th: Mr. Benjamin Schroeder from the same school.
8th: Mr. Martin Obsuszt also from the same school.

Worst...

I really only had one, and that was my Art History Teacher Ms. Wilson. I only dislike her because she failed me, I liked her until that bitch failed me. I should've NEVER taken Art History in College, and it discouraged me from visual arts ever since!

Another good teacher I had was my 6th grade teacher Ms. K. She had a great and enthusiatic personality. She made a lot of things fun. We read The Outsiders in that class and I fell in love with the book and movie.

I'll do some more recent ones

My best teacher was my philosophy instructor. Not only was he helpful but he explained the stuff in such a way that you could understand it so easily. He was also very patient too.

My worst teacher was my math teacher. She was one of those teachers that expected you to know everything about the subject each time you walked in the door. If you asked her for help she would either tell you to look it up or say you were responsible yourself to figure this out. If you missed a day and asked what you missed, she'd give you a line about how it is your responsibility to come to class prepaired. I didnt learn anything from her.

I have a few I just thought of. Math was my weakest subject, and in 8th grade and 11th grade, I had two bad math teachers respectively. The 8th grade guy just taught the class as a whole, he didn't break anything down to the point where you understood it. He didn't get into the student indivually and see their strengths and weaknesses, he just taught the whole class and I didn't understand a damn thing, as a result, I got straight E's all year. He didn't care, he was just in it for the paycheck. One time the SOB had the nerve to tell us about a car he was going to buy that day too, like that had anything to do with us learning. The 11th grade teacher was the same way except she picked her students of who she wanted to get involved with the day's lesson, it was usually the students who sat in the 2 front rows.

My freshman college math teacher was one of the best. She was young and just starting out, I struggled in her class early, but because of her, I ended up passing. She was always smiling, she got into you one on one, if you had a question, she rushed over to help you. She really loved her job, and that's how a teacher is suppose to be. She never put pressure on anyone. What I liked about her is she told everyone that she is no smarter than anyone of her students. The only thing is, is that she studied math a little more than us the students. She was really of the the best math teachers I ever had.

The worst teacher I ever had was my kindergarten teacher Miss Ginear. She was a tyrant who threatened us with her wooden shoes if we didn't behave. She picked on me constantly and made me take stupid tests while the rest of the class got to take naps. I've had some bad teachers but nobody comes close to her.

I can think of three great teachers. Miss Thomas was my 3rd grade teacher. She was so full of life and made her class really fun. Unfortunately she was killed in a car accident two years after I left her class. She was only in her 20's. Her father died with her.

My favorite teacher was my 7th grade English teacher, Miss Devane. It's funny becaue I had to get up in front of the class to give an oral report. Well I just started laughing and I couldn't stop. Most teachers would have gotten mad but I looked in the back of the room and she was laughing with everyone else. Ever since then she and I became friends and I learned more in her class than anywhere else probably. In fact I can say that her class was the best thing about 7th grade.

Finally my 8th and 9th grade History teacher was Miss Williams. History was my favorite subject and she made her classes fun. We always discussed current events at the beginning of the class which was great since I was into that then. She staged other things. One time we had a mock trial for Harry Truman to see if he should be found guilty for dropping the bombs on Japan. He was found innocent. I liked her so much that in 9th grade when I had to have my schedule changed for another class and I had a chance to get in her class again, I jumped at it. It helped that she was a knockout too.

Cool

My best teacher was Mrs. Baccosti who I had in both grade 4 and grade 6. She used to read books to the class and was the first person to introduce me to the concept of reading for fun. She instilled in me a love for books and reading that is still a part of me. My worst teacher was my grade 8 math teacher Mr. V. He obviously didn't want to be there as he was always grumpy and mean. There were rumours going around that he kept a flask in his desk and there may have been some truth to that as he later lost his job due to being an alcoholic.

My best teacher was my Chemistry teacher in H.S. Mr. Gorzka. He was just amazing...he was like a Jaime Escalante..he knew how to push you hard without you feeling overwhelmed...he was so dedicated...he was phenominal.

My worst teacher was my art teacher in 7th grade. She was moody and played favorites...she was NO role model that's for sure!

I also had a lot of great college instructors. I liked most of them. There were only 2 that I disliked. One was my nutrition teacher she didn't show up a lot of times and often had collegues from her clinic fill in for her. The other was my geology professor she didn't teach well.

My favorite teacher was my 4th grade teacher Mrs. Shuffelberger. She was so much fun and always made classtime an adventure. She retired a couple of years after I was in her class, and she opened a candy store at the mall. She would always give her former students free candy.

I also had a math teacher in middle school who was great. His name was Mr. Lonard and he taught advanced placement algebra and geometry. He would give us his home number so we could call if we needed help with our homework. He was very caring.

My worst teacher was my elementary PE teacher in 3rd grade. He never called me by the right name and if I corrected him he got mad. He once said he couldn't believe my parents gave me such a stupid name. I should have told my parents but I didn't. Also, he would not let anyone go to the bathroom during his classtime and one time I really had to go and he wouldn't let me. He made me pee my pants in front of the whole class. It was humiliating. He left after that year thank God and then we had a great PE teacher. She is an administrator in the school district now and I work for her.

My best teacher ever was My 6th grade math and science teacher, Mrs Dean. She really cared about me, and even stayed after school with me numerous times to help me when I was struggling with my grades. Because of her, I went from having an F in math, to having a B, and I went from having a D in Science, to having an A. She truly was an amazing teacher who I am still in touch with occasionally to this day.

My worst teacher ever was my 7th grade math teacher. The guy spent most of his time sitting at his desk reading, instead of teaching. He wasn't like Mrs. Dean at all, and if I were to rate him as a teacher, he'd get the same grade that I got in his class, an F!!!
