You forgot to include the third one, Dream Warriors, in your poll.

I wasn't a big fan of the Dream Child.

That one was okay. Mostly because Wes Craven was involved somewhat and they also brought Heather back.

Freddy's Revenge. What an awful movie all around. I don't consider Freddy vs. Jason to be part of the NOES series.

Don't want to start an argument lol but it is regarded as canon in both franchises.

I'm curious to hear why you don't consider it to be. Do you consider it part of Friday the 13th?

I've never seen Freddy Vs. Jason, so I really can't comment on that one.

Nope, I just consider it a separate film with two villains from different franchises. I personally don't see how it could be considered a new film for either series. I've never seen one definitive answer saying that it's definitely this, or it's definitely that. So, in my opinion, it's not.

In my opinion the film is just "alright". It wasn't great but it didn't suck. I don't think it lived up to all of the decade of hype that people had when this movie was first rumored. At the end of Jason Goes To Hell (1993) Freddy's glove pulls Jason's mask into hell and since that scene the rumors were rampant.

My personal peeve about the film was that Kane Hodder was not brought back to be Jason again. I, as well as a lot of people, were looking forward to seeing Kane Hodder vs. Robert Englund. The official reason given was because they wanted a more sympathetic Jason and Hodder had too intimidating eyes for it.

The movie is worth a look. I love the opening scene where Freddy narrates his origins... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2mAiCcfEhc

I see what you're saying but to me it is.

In Jason Goes To Hell Freddy pulls Jason into hell and in Freddy vs. Jason it shows what happens next. His body is sent out of hell and at the end he "defeats" Freddy.

Then some billion years down the road is Jason X. I think it can be understood that Freddy is the reason Jason got released from hell.

With that logic, it would make sense for it to be part of the Friday the 13th series. But to me, it's still part of neither.

My personal favorite is still New Nightmare, Craven made Freddy a dark character again. As the sequels progressed Freddy became more of a cartoon character than a scary horror villain.

I'll always have a special place for Freddy's Revenge only for the fact it was the first Elm Street I saw on the big screen.

I voted for Freddy's Dead, but really parts 4, 5, and 6 are really about the same for me.
