I almost forgot! Burl Ives would have been 100 today!
He had that hit "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" way back. If he were still alive today he would have hit the century mark!

Wow! That's incredible. He was a fine folk singer and actor and had a very
winning personality. He was the perfect choice for Sam the Snowman, the narrator of the perennial holiday TV classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It wouldn't seem like Christmas without hearing his "Holly, Jolly Christmas." |

Burl Ives was great! Loved him in Cat On a Hot Tin Roof and in the Rudolph Christmas Special. That is definiately a timeless classic! It's funny, but just in the last 10 years or so, there has been such a large increase on merchandise for "Rudolph" and for the "Holly Jolly Christmas" song. Wonder why it took so long to become popular? That show is about 40 years old!
