...as the lowest grossing movie of all time! No wonder Ms. Heigl wanted to stay on Grey's Anatomy.
Biggest box office bombs: # 1 - ZYZZYX Road (2005) “What happens in Vegas, gets buried on Zyzzyx Road.” The first film on the list of biggest box office bombs is ZYZZYX Road. The good people at the “Guinness Book of World Records” have classified this film as the lowest grossing film of all time. Statistics Budget: $2 million Box Office: $30 “In the Red” by: $1,999,970 or 99.99% of budget * Yes, $30 is the total box office revenue for the film. Director John Penney had a deal with the Screen Actors Guild, and in order to meet the requirements and get the film out on DVD he had to screen the movie. He did so in one theater in Texas for one week. It sold 6 tickets and two of them were to crewmembers of the film. Plot Grant is an accountant with a bad marriage and a daughter whom he loves. He takes to the road to service his accounts in Las Vegas. While there he meets seductive Marissa. They have a week-long affair which culminates in the arrival of Marissa's ex-boyfriend, Joey. Joey attempts to kill the lovers, but Grant gets the upper hand. Grant and Marissa then drive Joey's body to Zyzzyx Road and Grant buries Joey in the desert there. But in the morning the body is missing and something is trying to kill Grant and Marissa. In the DEATH OF A SALESMAN meets LOLITA ending, Zyzzyx Rd. reveals a shocking, tragic twist. (written by user Producer on IMDB.com) Cast Leo Grillo - Grant Katherine Heigl - Marissa Rickey Medlocke - Meth Maker (you just have to love characters like this) Yorlin Madera - Truck Driver Di Koob - Roulette Dealer Tom Sizemore - Joey Director - John Penney Biggest box office bombs: # 1 - ZYZZYX Road (2005) “What happens in Vegas, gets buried on Zyzzyx Road.” The first film on the list of biggest box office bombs is ZYZZYX Road. A couple of years Entertainment Weekly did an article on this movie and discusses the reasons it failed. One reason they sited was the weird title.

I bet the concession stand grossed more than the movie.

Not fair to discuss a movie that was never widely distributed.....if they are gonna discuss real box office bombs, they need to talk about films widely distributed that still couldn't get an audience!
