Default Marie Hilley

I thought this to be a very intriguing case. This woman was a very clever person, but she eventually gets caught.

i agree i was interesting and a very sad case as well with the dad being poisoned and the daughter becoming so sick that she became paralyzed from the waist down. How could you forgive your own mother after something like that. Then she tricked the other man she married by posing as two people (returning to his house as her own twin sister) and lied about having brain cancer. I think she was a bit disturbed. After escaping from prison and died seven days later from prolonged exposure to the cold- i wonder where she was when they found her body.

Easy - you don't forgive her.

That woman is one of the sickest, most dimented people UM ever profiled (and that is saying something). How she could cause so much pain on her own husband and kids is beyond me. She probably died a painful death from the exposure, but I think she still got off easy.

Marie Hilley should have been put in a prison cell with inmates that are mothers and I guarantee Marie would have been beaten to death.

I always thought it was weird that she got away with posing as two people. I sort of laugh at that part of the story because it also reminds me of The Susie episode on Seinfeld.

I didn't hear that Marie's daughter Carol became paralyzed! How awful if that's true.

She reminds me of the sick twisted mind of Ann Miller who poisoned her husband. I recommend the 48 Hours Mystery - Toxic which gives an good insight on the case. (the Miller case)

Mary Hilley case just further proves that your more likely to get killed by your family and friends than a complete stranger.

What defense is there if your own mother kills you.

A family member, business partner, lover or friend usually has the best opportunity and motive to kill you.

There are more Mary Hilleys in the world than David Berkowitzs.
