Default Life changing

I'm sure this has been posted before, but I wanted to make a post and this was the only topic I could think of.
Has an FOL episode helped anybody out with one their episodes? I can't think of one right off hand in my case.

I don't know if help is the word, but Tootie Failing her Driver's test, was relatable--I did too

You guys will have to put me down as someone else who also failed their driver's test. Infact, I failed it twice! When I was practice driving, I used to go out with my dad and driving with him was like like it would have been for Tootie driving with Jo.

I really hope none of us meet up on the road someday. That's an accident waiting to happen.

And Mike...I failed twice too. And my mom actually smacked me once while we were out practicing because I was crying hysterically and screaming and tried to close my eyes. I was only 14 though. Here, you could (back then) get a restricted license at 14 and drive to and from school or work with it until you were 16. I should have waited until 16...but I actually passed on the third try. But by then I was too scared to actually drive.

I got so upset with my dad once, I got out of the car and walked home. He was being soooo picky about everything.

My stepdad was the same way, very picky, he'd yell at me for doing things he did. Little does he know I havent changed my ways at all but I'd say I'm a very good driver Better than some of my friends, I got one friend thats on his 3rd vehicle and he's 19. He's totaled one car and a truck, the scary thing is I always felt comfortable riding with him.

Your friend sounds like the typical Illinois driver. Actually, I knew this guy in high school who got into several bad accidents during his first year of driving. The worst was when he backed the car into the front window of a store. Like the whole backend of the car was inside the store!

Illinois drivers arent the worst by far. Yes alot of them suck but I've seen worse. But hey down here I dont think we're that bad, we all put on tractors when we're like 10 so generally if you can drive a tractor you can transfer it to a car but yeah we still have some downright idiots too. I got behind a guy going to class this morning going 40 in a 55 on a straightaway and he flipped me off when I passed him!!!! It confused me.

At one point I heard that the worst drivers around come from Rhode Island. Have any of you heard that?

I can picture it now:

Dad: Mike, did you have to hit that pedestrian?
Mike: Details.

lol.

Bille: I can't believe your mom slapped you. lol. She must've watched "Facts" too.

I'm afriad to drive. Once, I drove our golf cart around the block. It was just me and mom. You have to turn at this ditch to go to the destination we were headed. I turned and went straight into the ditch. That was last year if not the year before. So, I'd say Tootie's driving test is mine as well. That's the reason I don't have my license. I don't feel like sending anybody to the hospital and/or going myself.

Tootie Drives is my mom's favorite episode of FOL. I am pretty sure she didn't remember the episode when she took me driving, but afterwards whenever we would see it and Jo gives her little line about not liking to teach people to drive because they make stupid mistakes and cry when you slap them...my whole family cracks up. It's a family joke now.
