That's not that big a surprise, given that was part of Carol's full name, which some of us remember as Carol Ann Tyler Martin Brady.

I was unsure as to what it was, thinking it was intentionally meant to be a mystery. I knew Oliver was the son of Jack and Pauline, but I never figured out whether Jack was Carol's brother (which would have made him Oliver Tyler) or Pauline was Carol's sister (which would have made him Oliver something else). Using Wikipedia's hypothesis Oliver was the nephew of Carol's first husband, whose fate Sherwood kept under wraps, with the last name Martin.

It was telling that Oliver never appeared, and as far as I know, was never even mentioned in any of the Brady reunion shows, though he does appear breifly in the second brady bunch movie, just before being run over by a car!
