Thumbs up Countdown to 'Cleveland' the Top 10 Cleveland Moments

#10: Clevemire
Episode: "Da Boom"
What do you get when you fuse two of Peter's best buddies into a single two-headed entity? Clevemire. After a nuclear holocaust destroys Quahog, Peter and friends build New Quahog.

There are obvious disadvantages to being fused with Quagmire, as Cleveland points out, "Lovemaking with Loretta has somehow lost its intimacy". The visual cutaway that follows is priceless.

#9: Don't Stop Believin'
Episode: "Don't Make Me Over"
This is more of a group moment for the drinking buddies, but Cleveland's bit in this karaoke homage to the recently resurging classic Journey tune is fantastic. His nasally voice fits in perfectly with the lyrics.

It's hard not to want to sing along and imitate Cleveland singing the words, "Just a city boy. Born and raised in South Detroit…"

#8: Cleveland in the A-Team
Episode: "Brian Goes Back to College"
After winning a costume contest at an '80s TV Convention, Peter, Joe, Cleveland, and Quagmire decide to stay dressed up as members of the A-Team and help out the community.

The cutaway to the opening sequence from the TV show and the sight of Cleveland dressed up as B.A. Baracus is hilarious, and a great homage to fans of the classic '80s television series.

#7: Raining Bitches
Episode: "Love Blactually"
In one of the more memorable Cleveland-focused episodes, Cleveland gets to utter this classic line: "I'm no meteorologist, but I'm pretty sure it's raining bitches."

What makes this line especially funny is Cleveland's deadpan delivery that has just the right amounts of mirth and crass enthusiasm.

#6: Cleveland Tours with Black Box
Episode: "Play It Again, Brian"
Cleveland dances and adds his unique sedated vocals to Black Box's late '80s chart-topping dance hit, "Everybody Everybody".

Seeing Cleveland in that one piece jumpsuit saying "ow" at the right moments is bound to make anyone laugh out loud.

#5: Cleveland Is Saved By Spider-Man
Episode: "Believe It Or Not Joe's Walking On Air"
After Joe gets his legs back, the drinking buddies go rock climbing, and Cleveland has a fall, but is saved by Spider-Man in the nick of time. After being saved by a bed of spider-web, Cleveland thanks the web-slinger. Cleveland's then told through Peter that "Everybody Gets One."

The whole bit with Spider-Man came out of nowhere, and his interaction with Peter and Cleveland is both memorable and highly quotable.

#4: The Bathtub Gag
Multiple Episodes
We've seen this gag happen many times, where Peter's destructive shenanigans results in Cleveland's house getting destroyed, and Cleveland always seems to be taking a bath while it happens. Cleveland's bathtub slowly tilts and falls off the exposed second floor onto the ground. Typical of the overly sedated Cleveland, he never seems to react with much anger to having his home blown up due to Peter's stupidities.

Objects that have destroyed Cleveland's home include a giraffe (from "Barely Legal"), a tank (from "Hell Comes to Quahog), Peter's car (from "Family Gay") and a hot air balloon (From "Tales of a Third Grade Nothing").

#3: Cleveland's Reaction to Loretta Cheating on him With Quagmire
Episode: "The Cleveland-Loretta Quagmire"
Cleveland finds out that his wife cheated on him. Does he get mad? Nope. He finds out that his wife cheated on him with his best friend Quagmire. Does he get furious? Nope, but he does offer this little quotable morsel: "Better it be Quagmire than someone she could get a disease from."

That line pretty much sums up Cleveland as a character. He's unfazed and sedate under even the most extreme circumstances, and it's not because he's a character possessing a great sense of serenity – it seems he mostly just couldn't be bothered to really react to anything. He eventually does burst out of his shell and has a memorable chase sequence in Quagmire's home while wielding a baseball bat.

#2: Minority Suspect
Episode: "Stuck Together, Torn Apart"
After taking a ride in Joe's new high tech police van, we get to see how the automated arrest robot-thing treats Peter and Cleveland completely differently. Peter is handled with respect and calm, whereas the robotic arms use batons to beat up on Cleveland, and even plant a gun by him to make him look guilty.

It's an absolutely hilarious bit of social commentary, and while it's unfortunate that Cleveland's the victim of this automated beating, I'm sure he had a good laugh about it in the end. Damn that racist robot!

#1: Boom Goes the Dynamite
Episode: "Love Blactually"
After stealing Brian's new girlfriend and sleeping with her, Cleveland puts his own spin on Brian Collins' Internet sensation catchphrase, "And Boom Goes the Dynamite."

Delivered twice during the episode by Cleveland (right after having sex) at his deadpan best, this was one of the best done cultural references of the season, and is one of Cleveland's best lines in the series.
