Question How Would Blair Dress If She Were A Teen In 2009

This thread was inspired by Meghan's fanfic "True Friends" which takes place in current time. So the FOL characters are transported to 2009. What I'm curious about is how would a teenage Blair dress in 2009? Blair was very much a character into fashion. However, I can't see her being all that interested in what todays teenage girls wear. Blair was a fancy dresser, and teen girls today tend not to be. Like I can't for the life of me see Blair wearing flip-flops with pants that drag on the floor. That just would not be Blair's style. Any comments?

I could see if FOL was on the air in this decade I think Blair would dress and look alot like London Tippton from the sweet life of Zack and Cody. London is always dressed in the latest fancy fashions and that's the way Blair dressed. And I could see Jo dressing like Lindsey Shaw will in the new show 10 things I hate about you she is the girl in the second picture with the dark hair.

I think those are two great examples! I can really see those outfits on Blair and Jo.

Haha thanks for starting this Mike I needed ideas!

Blair I can see as a London Tipton but a little different, maybe not so many flirty dresses and all, Jo I was mostly thinking just like T-shirts and jeans/sweats, which isnt too far off from what she had it in the show and she was someone who liked to be comfortable, and I know on the days I just wanna be comfy I'll go out in one of my high school or college Ts and a pair of jeans and be perfectly happy and I could see a Jo circa 2009 doing that. Tootie and Nat will still be at Eastland so I dont have to worry too much about them and Mrs. Garrett, if you ask me, womens clothes havent changed that much over the years but when I actually go shopping with my gradmother and we go through her sections it doesnt look like things have changed all that much in her area.

But yes Blair is the one I'm struggling with but Thanks JoPol for the London Tipton idea that just gave me an idea

I think she would probably dress like the characters on Gossip Girl.

^ That's exactly what I was thinking. The clothes on there are more her style than the clothes that the teens of today wear. I honestly can't see Blair Warner wearing jeans and flip-flops or ballet flats (like I like to wear ).

Speaking of 2009 fashion, I see a lot of people wearing high heels with jeans. Kind of funny to see because every time I see someone wearing them with jeans, I think back to Blair and Jo's scene in The New Girl when Blair tells Jo that wearing high heels with jeans is tacky . Wonder what the 2009 Blair would think of that .

That's what I was thinking. I could not for the life of me see Blair in flip-flops. Besides, I think the whole flip-flop fad is tacky, in my opinion. Not counting the first season, Blair never really wore jeans either. I actually think a woman wearing high heels with jeans is sexy, Blair would probably still see it as being tacky.

^ I love the flip-flop trend; I never used to but I got into wearing them a few years ago and now any chance I get I'm walking around in them . I have many pairs in various colors .

Yeah I almost forgot that Blair occasionally wore jeans in season one (I think she did in season 2 in a couple of episodes as well). I tend to overlook that because I'm used to seeing her wear blouses and skirts and dresses. I agree with you that she would still find high heels with jeans tacky .

I remember some of the earlier episodes in which she wore jeans. I thought that she looked hot in them! If she had worn them from time to time in some of the later episodes, I think it would have been a nice change of pace. Also, in a lot of the early episodes up until the early part of her college years, she would wear a lot of outfits that included dress boots. This is another attire that I thought that she looked hot it! However, as she aged, she would almost always wear a dress or a skirt and blouse. Although I think that she looked nice in these outfits too, I think it would have been pleasent if we could have still seen her in jeans or boots from time to time. On top of this, I think that she always had a wonderful collection of purses! Wow!
