Does anyone know if Julie and Tim, her rescuer, did indeed get married? I'm hoping so. That turn of events was one of the more heartwarming updates on UM.

I hope they're together, they seem to make a cute couple. That segment is really freaky to watch. She was forced to be Nelson DeCloud's "sleeping partner" at a very young age. When she had tried to run away, the cult members went looking for her, and when they found her, they literally dragged her and threw her into a pick up truck. Then she was forced to disrobe in front of everyone and her clothes were burned. What a terrifying life she had!

I think I remember an update about them getting married, but I don't believe it was ever syndicated.

I'd be interested in hearing how she's been doing the last 15 years regardless if she married Tim or not. She was stuck in that camp of psychos for the majority of her childhood. The kind of abuse Nelson put on her for so long will be probably be with her the rest of her life.
As I recall, when she was interviewed in the segment, she said she worried for her parents (who were also part of the DeCloud camp) and if Nelson was going to punish them for her escaping. I hope they were able to reunite somewhat after Nelson was finally arrested. |

I remember seeing the DeCloud Family segment as a kid and being really, really freaked out--especially at the scene in which she's running down the road away from the settlement, being chased down in a truck by some members of the "Family."
I can't even begin to imagine what spending your childhood in a cult would be like--people like Julie are exceptionally brave, IMO. |

I also agree with those who say Julie was brave- I really admired her for the courage she had even after being victimized for so long. I hope she's living happily today. |
