Default The IT Crowd

This was suggested to me on Netflix based on some of my other rentals. I thought it was pretty good. I just wish the British TV seasons weren't so short!

The reason our seasons are so short is simply because our shows are usually written by one or two writers only (the IT Crowd was written by one writer). So thus it's difficult to come up with 20 or so episodes worth of ideas for the series without things getting stale very quick.Whereas of course most American shows have a team of writers, so it's easy to come up with that many episodes each season.
My Family is the only show over here that's the exception to that rule at the moment (but it's very much a bad ripoff of Married With Children)

I love The IT Crowd. It's a really funny show that doesn't rely on obvious situations or dark storylines: it's just silly fun. much Like Father Ted and Black Books. And it's getting funnier every series, so I'm looking forward to Series 4 which will be on next year.

Ahhh, thank you for the explanation! That makes sense.

I look forward to the next series being released on DVD.

yes, My Family has been written by a team as opposed to the normal one or two man writers and to be honest it shows, its not a great programme at all
