I have an extra copy of the official ST:Of Gods and Men DVD, if you want it. It's still in the plastic shrinkwrap. However, the extras on the website aren't on the DVD. I downloaded all the extras and made a DVD of them with the ST:OGAM film long before the official DVD was even announced. I can give you a copy of that too. The makers of ST:OGAM won't sell the DVD, for some reason. The only way to get it from them is to buy something else from their store. I ended up buying 2 things two separate times and I got the DVD for free both times. That's how I ended up with an extra copy. Therefore, it's legal for me to trade the DVD to you.
Another good Star Trek fan film to check out is Borg War. It's a Machinima film featuring voice overs from Patrick Stewart and Tim Russ. I've watched it and I enjoyed it enough to buy the official DVD. The official DVD is only $4 in the US. A Star Trek fan series that I've enjoyed is Star Trek Phase II. Formerly known as Star Trek New Voyages. I think New Voyages is a better name and they should have left it that way. You can watch and download the episodes for free. It's said to be what season 4 of the original series might have been if there had been a season 4. It's a new cast, though. There are appearances from Walter Koenig, George Takei, and Denise Crosby. You can download the episodes from the official torrent tracker. It's legal to download these episodes for free because it's a non-profit fan film and they make them available for free. My favorite episode is "World Enough And Time". I can think of some other Star Trek fan films but I've never watched them, so I can't vouch for them. |

Thanks for all the info, bigk18, especially for the "Borg War" movie which I didn't see mentioned when I was searching for fan shows/movies.
I'll be getting OGAM from repeathistory, but I'll contact you if I want the actual dvd, or dvdr with extras. |

I also have all the Phase II episodes downloaded, if you're interested in that. It's a good fan series.

I got a thumbdrive and downloaded a couple shows at the library. They're in wmv format. Don't suppose you know the best way to convert them?

Honestly, I just leave them in the format that I downloaded them. If you're wanting to burn them to DVD, then you can use a program called Super. That program allows you to convert several different formats into several different formats.
The way the website is setup is stupid. You have to scroll through a bunch of text, click on what appears to be a download link, scroll through some more text, click on a link...well, you get the idea. I was going to give you a direct link to download the file but it's not working. Click on the link and just keep clicking on the download links until you get the file. http://www.erightsoft.com/S6Kg1.html Some of the shows are available in iso format. Which means that you can burn it to DVD without converting it and there will be a DVD that's already been created with a menu. You can use DVD Decrypter to burn the iso file to DVD. http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/SetupDV...er_3.5.4.0.exe Both these programs are available for free. They're not a trial version, they're freeware. I hope this helps. If you're interested in the ST:OGAM DVD that I have, I'm willing to trade it to you. I don't know anyone else that would want it. |

I have 2 DVD's I made covering the hype of the movie..
All the actors in the movie made various appearances on all the talk shows and Early morning shows..I don't think I missed any of them.. As well as coverage from tabloid shows such as ET.. It is a nice compilation.... |
