If Jay Leno is still going to be on NBC this year, why is he not still going to be on - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The Tonight Show? Am I the only one who thinks this is Weird that he is going to be on another timeslot but the same network?

He is still doing the same amount of hours next season, 5 hours a week, 1 hour a night so wy the hell is he LEAVING????????????????????????????????

I still think NBC made a stupid decision. Everything was fine the way it was, ratings were good, so why change??

I don't get what happened with this whole thing. I thought the original plan was that Conan was going to take over for Leno on The Tonight Show in 2009. That's exactly what happened, but now I hear speculation that NBC threw Leno off the show? That makes no sense. I watched the last show and Leno didn't seem upset at all, in fact he looked happy. But I seriously remember reading or hearing about Conan's jump to "Tonight" several years ago. What gives?
