CBS copied NBC's Golden Girls with "Designing Women"

CBS copied NBC"s Cosby Show with "Charlie and Company

What about...

NBC copying ABC's "Bewitched" w/ "I Dream of Jeannie?"

Both shows had good-looking female lead that had magical powers with hnadsome guys on their sides.

NBC and ABC each had a show in the fall of 1987 that had two or three single and/or widowed guys taking care of the daughter or daughters. And those shows were "Full House" (ABC) and "My Two Dads" (NBC).

ABC and CBS each had a show that came in the same year and ended in the same year w/ kooky-spooky families in "The Addams Family" (ABC) and "The Munsters" (CBS).

But both were original ideas and not copied by one another. Munsters were from the Leave It To Beaver team and wondered about monsters living in suburbia who happened to look like the monsters from Universal and called them the Munsters.

The Addams Family were based on the cartoons from Charles Addams in The New Yorker magazine. More of a coincidence than copying from another network.

Back on subject: How about How I Met Your Mother CBS copying NBC's Friends in the way of a group of friends hanging out in a bar instead of a coffee shop, going through life's ups and downs.

A lot of people think that UPN borrowed a lot of ideas from Fox and Married with Children for Unhappily Ever After.

Here's an oldie...

"I Married Joan" (1952-55) was hoped to be NBC's answer to the megahit "I Love Lucy" (1951-57) on rival CBS. "Joan" even premiered on the same day as "Lucy" (October 15)...only one year later.

The show starred actress Joan Davis, whom NBC pushed as 'The Queen of Comedy' (they obviously never heard of Lucille Ball?), and Jim Backus as her husband whose patience is frequently tested by the comical antics of his scatterbrained wife. 'Joan' would find herself in the wackiest situations with or without the help of her 'younger sister' Beverly (think Lucy's best friend Ethel).

However, the show was just not funny, and despite the fact that NBC stuck with it for three seasons, it was always the 'least watched' show in it's time slot. It was finally cancelled due to dismal ratings.

ABC also "copied" or picked up Growing Pains, their version of NBC's Family Ties (I preferred Growing Pains).

Yep! I loved both shows. I was obsessed with Tiffany Malloy for a lot of my childhood.
