Ron Howard, sucessful former childhood star

Is there any other former childhood star that grew up to be so well adjusted and sucessful as Ron Howard? I just posted about the first episode of the Andy Griffith Show, and got to thinking his acheivements are pretty rare. Now he's one of Hollywood's greatest directors. I just really admire him. And he never forgot where he came from. He always praises Andy Griffith and everyone involved with the show. He never seems to have a swelled head. Always down to earth. His parents and AGS producers did something right with this child actor. Its so sad to think of many other child actors in between the 50's and the 80's from Patty Duke to the Different Strokes kids who struggled to survive, some even ended up dead!
