Default I also want to vent....

and I don't think this would be right for the "COMPLAINT" forum.

As most of you know; I have a rare muscular condition called H.S.P. which stands for Hereditary Spastic Parapalesis. Well, since it causes gradual musle deteriaration, exercise is a MUST in order to keep muscle flexability. So, I've been taking physical therapy sessions regulary.

However, even though my mother, sister and brother say it looks like I'm getting better; my therapist recently told me that-I'm getting-worse. I didn't agree with her at first, but now that I think about it; sadly-I agree with her. (there; I've admitted it)

I haven't asked my doctor yet what he thinks; but; I think that he'll agree since he's increased my meds.

OK; thanks for listening you guys. I subscribe to an H.S.P. message board, but I feel better posting on this one.

Cool

Hey Joe, I'm sorry to hear your condition may be getting worse. Try and keep a positive attitude though. Maybe your doctor won't agree with the therapist. Maybe he'll agree with your family!

That's why you stay positive and keep working at your therapy so you can prove your therapist and your doctor wrong

That sucks Treky, maybe you could seek out another opinion, bring up the fact that you do feel better exercising.

Hi Treky. I'm glad you vented- I think venting is very therapeutic and this is a safe & supportive place for it. I hope you keep plugging away and prove that physical therapist wrong.

I'm sorry to hear that your disease is progressing. I know you're fighting it tooth and nail, but these things have a mind of their own. I'm glad you got your meds increased. I hope that's helped. I also hope you're not in much pain, Joe. That's my issue. PAIN.

thanx Janice; that really means a lot!

As I've said before, since your e-mail, I have sympathy for what you, Lauren and others with fibromyalgia are going through, and how painful it is for you.

Sorry to hear you're not doing as well as you had hoped. As someone above mentioned it might be wise to see another doctor & get a second opinion. My thoughts & prayers are with you.
