Default UM Locations PICTURE Thread...

I figured I would make a thread for your pictures of UM locations. I always enjoy seeing them, and sometimes they are hard to find in the middle of threads. I know someone had posted some norman ladner locations a few years back, but I can never find them anymore. Anyways, here are mine..

Yesterday, I was driving home from our family Summer cottage and I stopped by Coldwater on the way to find the old schoolhouse featured in the Dennis DePue segment. It wasn't hard to find since they mentioned the street it was on in the segment which is called Snow Prairie Road...

Almost 20 years later, the place still looks like it's barely standing. Weeds and grass have grown all around the schoolyard. The sign on the front of the school says 1908 District School #3.

This next shot is taken on the right side of the school. This is the angle from the road that the Thornton's saw Dennis burying the bloody blanket. Lot's of overgrown weeds and leaves on the trees sort of hide the view now...

The big tank to the left side of the school is still there but it's almost completely covered with rust now. As you will recall, this is where Dennis parked his van when he was spotted at the schoolyard...

This is the yard in back of the school where the Thornton's found the bloody blanket and called the police...

Just thought I would share. I was only there for a few minutes to take the pictures. Even though this case was solved long ago, I felt a little creeped out being there. I played licence plate games on my drive out to calm my nerves.

I'll have to take a picture of the bank building in Minneapolis where John Grundhofer was kidnapped the next time I drop off my hubby at work (I drive by it about 3-4 times a week).

Meg's got some Rhonda Hinson and Blair Adams pics - hopefully she'll post to this thread too!

The DePue pics - CREEPY. That's one of my favorite segments, still.

Wow the school house! That is so scary looking...maybe its because of what went on there...ugh.

Well I'd love to find the place where Clarence Roberts died twice but there are two problems: 1) it burned (twice)! and 2) There are two Nashville, Indianas and I don't know which one was in the segment. They are both about 1 hour 45 min from me.

Wow, those pictures definately look familiar from the segment. I would've been creeped out too being there. Just knowing what went on in that little school yard and that it was right after Marilyn DePue's murder.

Thanks for posting those pics. I'll be visiting Santa Fe in a couple of months and I will try to pics of the Lorretto Chapen and the La Posada hotel.

Yes, I do! I'll put them on here when I get a chance soon.

It's the one in Brown County (which I'm assuming is the southern town near Bloomington). I had a friend who lived in Indianapolis and would pass by the exit for Nashville on the way home, but have never stopped there.

Next time I am driving on I-84, I will put up pics of where that man was shot by the unknown assailant (near the Beacon Bridge in Beacon, NY). I forget what his name was, but they never caught the murderer.

For the sake of ease and not taking up a lot of space, here's a link to my Rhonda Hinson photos:

And Blair Adams:

You may have to scroll down a little bit, but they're there.

The Wacker house in Massillon, OH. Sorry I was driving while I took the pic, so it's blurry. There wasn't a good place to stop to take the picture without looking suspicious. I'm 99% sure this is the correct house. If you look at the bright green trim around the window and front door, you can see that it's the same bright green trim around the windows in the background of the picture of Bill and Dorothy on the UM segment. Of course, the house in the filmed segment was not the original since it was a re-enactment.

JRA2000TL, I can't see the picture. Do I need to do something to view it?
