The current Star Trek movie (which I thought was great, and one of the best ST movies) had ST go out in style. I think the ST franchise should not overplay its hand.

Course if a new one came out, I'd watch it in a heartbeat, but there's always the danger of it not being that good, and if that happens, and it ends up being the last ST movie, then ST wouldn't have left at the top of it's game. Just as with TV shows. M*A*S*H went out with style. (They did have 'After M*A*S*H'--I mean, I liked it personally, but it wasn't considered a hit.

With Abrams directing how could it miss, as long as their is action and some humor it should be good.
