How many of you recall the segment about Meriah and Sabria Widboom, the daughters who were kidnapped from their father by their mother who ran off with her criminal boyfriend. Well, I got a message through the Wikia from a woman claiming to be Rebecca Brotherston who then turned around and erased all the facts I had on the case in the Wikia, claiming she was the kids' legal guardian. What should I do next? What to do? What to do?

Wow, no one would expect that.
I wasn't familiar with the case, so I found this article: http://archive.mailtribune.com/archi...pt/92697n3.htm Article appears to be from 1997. I guess, I'd contact the authorities, see if they could trace anything from your computer or the sites info. even though they might think it's not legitimate. |

Considering it's a matter of public record, she doesn't have the right to erase the information from the site.

Just like I've stated before, no one is interested in solving any "mysteries" on UM except us! The spike people don't care, and apparently, Cosgrove Muerer doesn't care. Unbelievable.
In the article that crochetbuff posted, it says: Anyone with information on there whereabouts of Sabria, Meriah, or Rebecca Brotherston are asked to call the district attorney's office at 776-7011. Also, if that's really her contacting you Thor, she does not have legal custody of those kids and is not their "legal guardian" as she claims. At the time the article was written, the father had been given legal custody. |

If you google the handle that she used on the Wikia, it comes up in Google and I think it even has her cell phone #. The claim is bull****, because she illegally kidnapped the kids and no judge (well, maybe the Baskin judge) would grant her custody after that. |

As for Spike and Cosgrove, they aren't featuring parental abduction stories. Yes, it is fairly obvious they don't give a **** anymore about the cases. Robert Stack is probably rolling in his grave in anger at how they have destroyed a show with cases he personally cared about.

of the UM show now. And the spike people think they are so clever. They are so 21st century with their graphics and rock music and they are appealing to a technically advanced audience. Well they totally blew it with this one. They could have followed this and maybe done a story on how technology helped capture a child abductor. And if they wanted to further appeal to the spike demographic, they could play up the kidnapper's boyfriend/husband creature's criminal activities. There's plenty of opportunity to play rock music and slap cheap graphics on the screen during scenes like that. |

As I p.m.'d to Thor2000 you can find a couple of the people involved if you do a facebook search. So I'm thinking that this case has been solved/resolved, or if it hasn't been, any of the involved parties (or their friends/families) who are somewhat tech savvy can resolve it now by themselves.

Oh, and there also aren't any missing children's sites that come up when you google the kid's names. So they don't appear to be listed with NCMEC or DoeNetwork, etc...

I found nothing on them at the North American Missing Person's Network or Charley Project, either.

I don't believe that crochet. Why would a judge give her custody as she claims, when she ILLEGALLY KIDNAPPED the kids?

Believe what? That the mother has custody? I don't know. I didn't say how it was solved/resolved, or who had custody, I just said that I thought it was, or could be solved. The Mom is on facebook and so is one of the daughters. I don't know who has custody. But if this Father hasn't already found them, then he can, they are on facebook. |
