Default James Harrison does not want to go to the White House to meet President Obama-lol

The Steelers are scheduled to meet with Obama this week since they were the SB winners and he said he has no interest because if they had lost to Arizona they wouldn't be invited so why go now?-lol

So James Harrison will not join his teammates at the WhiteHouse

OK, I'm confused. Once more, with clarity.

Well he should stay and let the others go! Damn spoiled brat! Of course the winners are invited and he should be fortunate that he got a ring! Why would the president invite the losers of the SB! James Harrison needs to grow up!

He went in 2006 last time they won. I guess he see's no reason to go again.

Either way though it makes him look bad not to go.

He has the right to decide if he wants to go or not. There's no rule that says you HAVE to meet the President after winning a title.

Why do I feel like if I said I agree with him you would have said the opposite?

I agree. He doesn't want to meet the Prez, it's no big deal, the rest of the team will be there.

5. James Harrison is a total IDIOT. I read the article on Yahoo! Sports, and his reasoning makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Harrison did not visit the White House after the Steelers won the Super Bowl in 2006.

His position has been consistent.

Even the article you linked to bears this out:

"... Linebacker James Harrison has said the trip is no "big deal" and he'll skip it again after not making the trip following the Steelers' title in 2006... "

Oh, okay. I guess he's been to the White House before.

EDIT: Or maybe there is something in his family background that he knows might come out when the S.S. does background checks and stuff and he just doesn't want to deal with the embarrassing stuff.

Obama had the White Sox visit him at the White House about a month ago. They last won a World Series in 2005, and most of the main guys on that team are no longer with the White Sox.

White Sox tour White House, meet Obama

Manny Ramirez also did not visit the White House after the Red Sox won a couple of World Series. Bush, of course, was in office at that time. The press did not crucify Ramirez the way they're crucifying Harrison.
