NBC has confirmed that La Bamba actor Lou Diamond Phillips has been added to the cast of the upcoming I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Phillips will join fellow cast members Stephen Baldwin, Janice Dickison, and Heidi and Spencer Pratt, among others. The show debuts on NBC on June 1.

How the mighty have fallen. He was great as Ritchie Valens in La Bamba, great in the Young Guns movies, but THIS??

I agree, his career looked so promising, but a few bad movie choices and he was over.

It's just so sad that's he's sunk so low to appear on a crappy show like this. Why couldn't he have at least done The Surreal Life??

Yeah, I think the fact that Spencer and Heidi are on here make it lose celebrity cred. I mean come on, if it was all truly celebs then it would be ok for LDP, but not this. I agree, Surreal Life would have been much better.

Oh well, I'm sure I'll still be watching.

Hey, I'd watch him on SL, even though I'm not a reality show fan. That seems to be the only one I can semi-stomach.
