Default Garfieldkool, I didn't know that Dominique Wilikins played for the Celtics in 1995

There were showing highlights of the Magic series in 1995 and there was Nique in a Celtics Unifiorm at Boston Garden. Trying to figure out why I don't remember this?

The Hawks traded him for Danny Manning in February 1994. It was a pretty stupid thing to do because Dominique was an MVP candidate and the Hawks were #1 in the East that year. He left the Clippers at the end of the season and went to Boston. He also had a brief stint with the Spurs and Magic.

That was the worse trades ever! "nique" was having his best year ever as a Hawk, and they traded him away first to the Clippers for that bum Danny Manning. I forgot how he ended up with Boston, but i believe he finished his career there.

You're right. I forgot he finished out with those teams.

I'm surprised that Boston got rid of Nique by how he was playing from the highlights

Atlanta Hawks general manager was a dumb ass for trading Dominique. Dominique should've finished his career a Hawk especially when you consider what he did for that team. He was awesome back in the day and i loved his dunks. He should've won the slam dunk title at all star weekend in Chicago in 1988 but i knew Jordan was gonna win it when he soared from the foul line. I remember he played for Boston, Spurs, Orlando. He didn't play hardly at all when he was with Orlando. He finished his career there with his brother Gerald.

You know how GM are once you are over 30, they ask theirself-"can he still help us win a title? And then make a decision based on that

I think that Lenny Wilkens also had something to do with Dominique getting traded because at the time when Lenny was the coach, i heard him and Dominique weren't getting along. Lenny felt that Dominique wasn't a team player and he liked to shoot too much and not get his teammates involved.
