Question Anyone Remember Chef Emeril Lagasse's Failed Sitcom "Emeril"?

This was a sitcom that was based on the behind-the-scenes fiascos of famous chef Emeril Lagasse's cooking show; of which he was the star of.

It aired on NBC in the Fall 2001 season and it didn't last long because it was critically panned and it got no audience attention. Other famous cast members included Robert Ulrich, Sherry Shepherd, and Tricia O'Kelley.

Yeah, I remember it. Didn't it air back to back with that other gem, Inside Schwartz?? (Now THAT sounds like a sitcom porno. )

It might have, though I'm not sure on that. I vaguely remember Inside Schwartz but I know it starred Breckin Meyer.

A year after that was canned he starred on another failed sitcom; ABC's Married to the Kellys.

My brother-in-law is still the only one I personally know who watched (and liked!) Inside Schwartz. I guess Breckin Meyer's character had a bird named Larry Bird, etc.

Count me in as one of those who remembers watching Emeril's fall 2001 NBC sitcom (which deserved at LEAST another season or two, IMO). I'm surprised Emeril didn't get more acting gigs after this show, though.

At that time, I would always switch over to "Undeclared" on FOX after "Emeril" ended, so I wouldn't know.

It was on this decade. Why wouldn't people remember it? You act like it was on 50 years ago. Sorry but to me a few years ago seems like 5 minutes ago.

Just because it aired in recent years doesn't mean EVERYONE might know of or remember much about it.

People could have missed hearing about it since this didn't really last long.

I thought his last series was Medicine Man, the drama that aired on cable, but I could be wrong.

Emeril was his last role on a tv series. Before that he starred on The Love Boat: The Next Wave three years earlier.

After Emeril he did two television movies before his death in 2002.
