No disrespect intended but what's the point of bumping a thread 30 minutes after it was originally started? The topic currently has 18 views so several people have at least read it and probably watched the video as well. If the thread had gone 3 days without a reply then I might could understand bumping it but 30 minutes seems kinda ridiculous.

I got rid of all my silver amalgams long ago and feel so much better for it.

I wasn't sure if this was true or not, but all I can say is that my RA is a LOT better now than it was 20 years ago. I don't have nearly the joint problems I did when my mouth was full of those fillings. They also looked horrible!

I can't believe that my mom used to mix amalgams in the palm of her hand. She even taught me how to do it. It's a wonder that dental assistants weren't dropping like flies back in the 50s - 60s - 70s from handling all that mercury.

Read it and you will then know more about mercury toxicity than 99 percent of all American dentists.

Your dentist may attempt to refute the bad information on mercury amalgams because he is under pressure from the ADA to deny that this mercury leaches out. He also is probably unaware that a bacteria in your mouth -- Streptococcus mutans -- can transform mercury into methyl mercury which is 100 times more toxic than metallic mercury. Don't listen to or believe what he says (that mercury is safe) because he is parroting back ADA propaganda. The ADA has published and distributed guidelines for all dentists to use when answering questions regarding amalgams. Daphne Zuniga contracted mercury poising from eating too much fish. She recalls having crying spells, low grade depression and memory loss- scary!

To all of those who got rid of their silver fillings, could you please share what the health benefits were for you? I have silver fillings and was thinking about having them removed. What does it cost per tooth to do this kind of thing?

i don't remember how much it cost. i got them all removed and changed to porcelain about four years ago, at the recommendation of my dentist. i had switched to that dentist and my first visit he advised me to change them. it was something i had always wanted to do because i hated the way the silver looked in my mouth. my insurance did cover a portion of it, but i don't remember how much. sorry i can't be of more help. maybe the best thing to do would be to contact your health insurance and see how much they charge for that type of dental work. or you can consult your dentist and see if they know the prices. you won't regret it though!

I did a price check with a local dentist. They told me anywhere from $180-$250 each tooth.
