Exclamation T.G.I. Forget It!! Here We Go Again - More Nastiness found in food!!

US resraurant chain to probe snake head in broccoli

WASHINGTON (AFP) – The US restaurant chain T.G.I. Friday's has asked the New York State Police to open a criminal investigation into suspected product tampering after a severed snake head was found among vegetables.

According to a statement issued by the chain late Friday, the head was found among broccoli by a restaurant patron in Clifton Park, New York, last Sunday.

"This is obviously something we took very seriously and we immediately pulled the product from all of our restaurants until an investigation could be completed," said Amy Freshwater, vice president of communication and public relations for Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, the parent of T.G.I. Friday's.

As part of the investigation, the head was sent to an independent laboratory for testing, and the lab said the snake's head was never cooked.

It has been concluded that the head was placed in the food at some point after the cooking process, the company said.

"We don't know who was involved in this senseless act of product tampering, but we are cooperating fully with the authorities and will prosecute the individual or individuals involved to the fullest extent of the law." Freshwater said.

Cool

Wouldn't most people rather eat a snake head than broccoli anyway? I mean who eats broccoli anyway? Oh that is so gross!!!!! Don't think I'll be eating there anytime soon!

Oy. Yecch. I'm eating in 99.9999% of the time from now on. Well, that's an overstatement - BUT - with the recession I eat out a lot less - AND ONLY - at restaurants I know and trust - most are sm. & family owned. As for big chains, "NEVERMORE"! (or something very close to that)

BREAKING NEWS! A firm in the Philipines is complaining that somehow, broccoli has been getting into their inventory of snakeheads! Customers are pissed!!!

A man on the street interviewed declared "This isn't fair! Somebody's sabotaged because I could see carrots and maybe even lima beans, but to tamper food with broccoli is just SO wrong!"

And I don't blame them for being so upset. Everybody knows snake heads are properly served with brussel sprouts!

well obviously this is a sign that TGI Fridays just isn't using enough cheese sauce on their broccoli.

Hey, I LIKE cooked broccoli. Yum! Preferably cheese-free, cuz that's just nasty. And I don't like my broccoli raw. Ew.

Whoever planted the head in that guy's food is a total ********. I hope they fired him.
