Default Rap Music Sucks Now

I'm also tired of these lame ass rappers bragging about how hot they are and how gangsta they are and their lyrics are wack as hell. Most of these rappers need to find a job doing something else hahahahahahahahahahaha. The sad thing about it is that most of them don't care about good lyrics and good beats. All they care about is making wack music so it can get played on the radio and sell records. They only wanna go to the club, get drunk, smoke weed, buy expensive stuff like cars, clothes, jewelry and have sex with women and give women their money hahahahahahahahahahaha. A lot of these dudes be bragging about they be pimping women and dogging them but a lot of these dudes be marrying these materialistic sluts and buying them stuff LOL. I miss the rappers from back in the day that had skills like Rakim, Black Moon, KRS One, LL Cool J, NWA, Kurtis Blow, Run DMC, Whodini, EPMD, Too Short, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, The Pharcyde, Ice T, Wu Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, Mobb Deep, Nas, Redman, Keith Murray, Das EFX, Geto Boys, Spice 1, MC Eiht, 2Pac, Notorious Big, Poison Clan, 2 Live Crew. Rap back in the day was hardcore. It's too soft right now and it's been soft for awhile. Black radio stations and rap video channels like MTV(BET cancelled Rap City)won't play hardcore stuff and rappers that got skills. That's why i only listen to old rap albums. F*ck these new wack rappers like Young Jeezy, T.I., Little Wayne, Yung Joc, Nelly and all these other clowns that consider themselves rappers. Bring back the hardcore lyrical rappers.

In all fairness I cant weigh in on this topic because rap is my least favorite music genre.

Just like we were talking about R&B, raps really sucks now! It caters to these damn teenagers who don't know what real rap is! Little Wayne stupid ass had a concert in my city 3 times last year and canceled all of them! Now the local black radio station here won't play any of his music! These new rappers get into the game and they swear they are legends! Whatever.

I liked rap the most when it was fun and/or positive. Kool Moe Dee, LL Cool J., Special Ed, Salt 'N Pepa, Run-DMC, Public Enemy, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, KRS-One, Kid 'N Play (until they got too commercial), Beastie Boys, etc.

I totally agree with you Isiah, there are very few good rappers out there these days, and the ones that are good, are unknown, because the media doesn't accept real rap anymore. I think it ashame how so many young people today only listen to today's crap. If they want to know what real rap is all about, they should listen to guys like Ice Cube, 2PAC, Biggie Smalls, D.J. Quik, Dr. Dre, old school Snoop Dogg, Naughty By Nature, NWA, Bone Thuggs & Harmony, etc. It's actually quite sad what's happened with the genre, and I wish it would go back to the way it use to be, but I doubt that'll ever happen. Here's what I like. Check out these two classics. This is what I grew up on!!

D.J. Quik: Safe & Sound

Fat Joe: Envy

Little Mel i didn't think you listened to rap. You like Fat Joe? LOL. Last good album of his was Jealous One's Envy that came out in 1995 LOL. He doesn't do hardcore New York rap anymore now that he's on the d*ck of southern rappers. Did ya'll know KRS One dissed Nelly a few times on the songs Over Here and You Don't Really Want It? KRS dissed him because Nelly dissed him first. KRS had me laughing on You Don't Really Want It when he said that was a nice try Nelly, i don't mean to be bold but put that hot in here bullsh*t on hold LOL. In the dictionary under wack rap, you the rapper LOL. Let me tell ya it don't take me to say don't buy your album. Street cats ain't buying it anyway hahahahahahahahahahahaha. You telling me to make up my mind but you don't know whether you wanna sing or rhyme LOL. If it wasn't for the old school, your b*tch ass wouldn't be here now LOL. Willie D of the Geto Boys also made a good point about rap music now when he said on Unbreakable song that the fans ain't even buying the records no more for content. They buying images and what they see is what they get. That's very true and that's why rap music has sucked for awhile because the black and white youngsters that are buying the cd's don't know what good rap music is and they don't buy rappers who have lyrical skills. I'm very surprised that there's more white people than black people who go to rap concerts and buy the cd's.

GarfieldKool have you seen the tattoos that's all over Little Wayne? Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. What's wrong with that fool? I bet he has to pay women to have sex with him since he's so ugly hahahahahahahahahaha. I even saw a picture of him and rapper Baby aka Birdman kissing LOL. Baby's real name is Ronald Williams i think and he owns record label Cash Money that Little Wayne is with. Baby said recently that he thinks Little Wayne is better than 2Pac and Notorious Big hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

DJ Premier of Gang Starr did a skit on Gang Starr's The Ownerz album dissing rap music now and this is what he said. What he said is funny but he's speaking the truth.

Hey yo. What the f*ck is this sh*t ya'll are listening to on the radio man? You call that sh*t hip hop? That's some fa*got b*tch sh*t ya'll are listening to hahahahahahahahahahahaha. All you dj's are letting the program directors handcuff you and sit there and tell you how to mix. You f*cking robots LOL. F*ck ya'll LOL.

I've been a rap fan since age 10, and even made my own album when I was 18 years old. I love old school rap music. I've probably written about 30 songs, and they all have the old school sound to them. I agree with you about Fat Joe, Jealous One's enwas the last good album he put out, and is actually my favorite of his. Envy was a great song, and is why I posted it in my last post. He was actually singing about real life in that song, and it's always been a touching song to me. But once MTV got ahold of him, he sold out, and now his music sucks!! Same thing happened with E:40, and plenty other artists. Once Mtv gets ahold of them, they turn to crap!! I love KRS's diss on Nelly!! Ha ha ha ha. Nelly isn't even a pimple on KRS's ass, and he never will be. If he ever tries to get into a rap battle with KRS, or any of the old schoolers, he'll get his ass kicked everytime!!!

Oh No

It seems that Eminem bowed-out, Rap tended to lose its course.

All it is is Black counter-culture. Sure, the Minstrel Show may seem dead, but it looks like Jim Crow changed his image by wearing heavy gold chains. It's just wrong.

Little Mel, i noticed you mentioned Bone Thugs And Harmony and Snoop Dogg. I stopped liking Bone after E.1999 Eternal album and i stopped liking Snoop after Doggystyle album hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Snoop has really been a disappointment. His albums after Doggystyle have really been terrible. Top Dogg album isn't that bad. His B*tch Please song with Xzibit and Nate Dogg is on that album. I like that song. He also has a song on that album called Buck Em that i like but it sounds like he's saying f*ck em LOL. Last album i heard by Bone Thugs was The Art Of War and that's a terrible album. It's a double cd and i only like one song that they did with 2Pac called Thug Luv. How can you have a double cd with a lot of songs and only have one good song? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Bone Thugs has a lot of fans and i've been dissed by some of their fans because i stopped liking them a long time ago. Some guy said to me since i was from Cleveland, Ohio just like Bone that he was surprised that i didn't like them anymore. I said i don't care that they're from my hometown. Their music sucks LOL. I even heard a couple of their solo albums from Flesh And Bone and Krayzie Bone and i didn't like them. Flesh And Bone has one good song on his first album called World So Cruel with Run of Run DMC. He had a video for that and he sampled Patti Labelle's Love, Need And Want You song. I like that Patti song. Flesh And Bone got sent to prison in 2000 i think and he just got out last year. He was arrested for having a lot of illegal guns in his house.

The game is definitely not what it used to be and I hate most of this sugar coated preteen, hip-pop club bangers. I'm only down with real rap artist such as but not limited to Eazy-e, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Tupac, NWA, Warren G, The Game, Andre Nickatina, Mac Dre, Wu Tang, Coolio, Big L and others. I do like T.I. however, even though is a newer rapper. I also think Lil' Wayne did some pretty nice mixtapes, he's good at freestyling.
