Need Prayers Please - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

My boyfriend's mom has been sick for a long time now. She was in the hospital back in February/March and they diagnosed her with cancer. For awhile she was doing ok, but then the cancer started taking over and she got alot worse. Yesterday morning, she was doing fine, and then out of nowhere, while me and my boyfriend were out, she just..stopped breathing. She was with family at the time and they called an ambulance and everything. The nurse and paramedics did everything they could...but she passed away.

Me and my boyfriend rushed back as fast as we could after he recieved a phone call from his aunt, but we were 2 hours away at the time so by the time we got there, it was too late. We were close and what kills me the most is I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye. Please pray for him and his family most of all, but also for me. I know it hurts them so bad, seeing his family the way they were, so hurt and especially his aunt, who looked like she had been crying the most of all. And his sister was completely in shock, I hugged her but she was like so out of it, like she didn't grasp that her mom was gone... That's how I feel now. I can't believe I can never go just talk to her or spend time or watch movies or anything. I've never lost anyone close before and it hurts me so much.

I spent last night crying so much and today I'm not crying but I'm hurting so bad that I can't even begin to explain... Now I truly know how it feels to lose someone you love.... It hurts like hell.

but know I'm very sorry to hear about your boyfriend's mom's passing. I know how badly it hurts (I've lost both my parents and my father-in-law). That is such a shock and I know it hurts when you don't get the chance to say goodbye.

I'm sure she knows how much she was loved and at least she's out of her suffering now. I'm sure she also was happy to know that her son has a wonderful girlfriend to support him throughout this.

The next few days are going to be rough on you. If it helps at all, don't wait for the family to ask while they're going through this - just try to do something that will help them. If you cook at all, a nice homemade meal is a HUGE help. Or if they're ordering in, offer to go get it - or help to get it. Stuff like that doesn't get forgotten easily.

Again, my prayers and condolences for your loss.

Thanks a bunch, I really appreciate it. Yeah she stood by me through everything even when certain members of the family had a problem with me, she never did. She was such a sweetheart and I know she's in a better place now. But it doesn't ease the pain too much.

Oh ok - I thought you might have recently changed your screen name - I saw that you've been a longtime member.

That's great that she stood by you like that. And tough if the other family members didn't - now's the time you can pay her back with your support.

Yah, it does hurt that's for sure. It's the worst "part of life" for sure for those who are left behind.

Yeah it was a long time ago they didn't like me. I'm close to all of his family, minus one sister. But they know that I'm here for them through everything and I do love them with all my heart. Especially since my family abandoned me, they are all I got now...

Me too.

He lost his dad 6 years ago, and now he lost his mom. He has no parents now and I can't imagine how that feels...
