Default Serious question for Garfieldkool about the Skins in 87 NFC Championship

If Wade Wilson completes that pass on the goal line and the Vikings ends up winning the game,

Do you think the Vikings would have been the SB champs in the late 80's instead of the niners?

Would John Elway have won his first SB before the 1990's?

Your argument is flawed.

Had the pass been caught, it would have tied the game. It wouldn't have been a lock that the Vikings would have won in OT.

Yeah but if they had won in OT would that have made them the NFC Powerhouse in 88, 89, and 90? Would Denver had been able to beat the Vikings in the SB instead of the Skins?

Rewriiting History-lol

IMO, no. That Vikings team was missing something. I will say if the Vikes did go, the Broncos would have won before the 90s.

If Randall Cunningham didn't get hurt in week 1 of the 1991 season, do the redskins still go to the SB?

Yes. We had an unstoppable dynamic offense that year.

I never understood how Rypien could be so good in 1991 and just fall off in 92 and 93. Damm, he and doug both played like **** after they won the SB-lol

I remember during the 92 season, Rypien started overthrowing receivers to the point where Redskin fans started booing him.

That, and the rest of the division got better.

Philly was still strong, Dallas got REALLY good, and the Giants were still solid.

If anything, at least they managed to win a playoff game in 1992- then the decline started...

Wasn't he the coach of the Browns during that time?
