Phlebitis (Blood Clot) - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi Everybody,

Just to let you all know that I have phlebitis but, I am doing just fine.
I am getting treated for it and I am not in any danger cause we caught it in time (thank god) but, I'm not completely out of the woods just yet.

It's in my left thigh that's affecting my leg and foot so now have to wear a special stocking, taking pills and have to get injections for now until the pills take effect enough, and then won't need the injections anymore.

They will be monitoring me for quite some time; my blood needs to get thinned out. So, any more updates; will let you know.

I've heard of this. It usually happens to people who sit for long periods of time, right?

Sorry to hear about your Phlebitis, my brother-in-law also has that, he's taking a blood-thiner medicine for his. Sure hope you get it under control, my thoughts & prayers are with you.

Hope you're feeling better soon! I heard it's very painful. So glad they caught it - yay for modern medicine!!!

Well, I am doing a lot better; swelling has gone down a lot in my foot and leg.
I got my last injection today; and will be going for another blood test tomorrow. For now, just keep taking the pills until they tell me otherwise.
Also, I am still wearing the nylon stocking which helps with the circulation.

Well, on Monday Oct. 5 was my last blood test and once I finish off these pills; then it's all over. I am so happy; no more blood tests and no more pills.
Also, I won't have to wear that nylon stocking anymore.
