Wilmer Valderrama and Jason Ritter Team Up for Movie
Wilmer Valderrama and Jason Ritter have joined the cast of "The Dry Land," an indie drama from Maya Entertainment. Ryan Piers Williams wrote the script and is making his directorial debut on the feature, which is shooting in Albuquerque, N.M., before moving to locations in Texas.
The movie, previously titled "American Tragic," follows a young soldier (Ryan O'Nan) who returns home from a tour of duty only to find that his small-town life no longer fits. America Ferrera is starring as his wife and Melissa Leo as his mom. Valderrama is playing O'Nan's Army buddy who helps him in his search for redemption, and Ritter is a hometown pal who looked out for the soldier's wife while he was gone. Maya is financing and distributing the film worldwide. Valderrama, best known for his work on "That '70s Show," next appears in the indie drama "Days of Wrath." He is repped by UTA and Rigberg Entertainment. Ritter's credits include "The Education of Charlie Banks." He is repped by Endeavor and the Burstein Co. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/...6e6c8cf8e6dbca |
